Story

Southern Co-op is a large, independent co-operative society operating in 11 counties across the south of England. We have been owned and traded by people across the southern region for over 140 years with our main business being food, where we have a network of over 200 stores.
We work hard to provide the best in fresh, delicious food with high standards of service to our customers but we’re also really committed to making a genuine difference to our local communities. Closes early without warning often. Overpriced to the point the cost of fuel for travelling to a supermarket is often well worth taking into consideration. Parking here is very strict, many have been fined for trivial reasons.

In Google Map and on the gate of their store, it is written that this store will be closed at 10:00 PM, but now after walking 20 minutes in this rain we are here at 9:50 PM and the gate is closed, I don't know what to say, this is really not a good.

I had a consistent negative experiences with a staff member who is a lady with short blonde hair and wears glasses. Her behaviour towards me has been marked by racism, unhelpfulness, and offensive remarks. This is not an isolated incident, as I have encountered similar rudeness from her on previous occasions.nnIt is disheartening to feel unwelcome as a customer due to the conduct of this particular staff member as other staff were always friendly unlike her. I hope the store management addresses this issue promptly to ensure a more positive and respectful environment for all customers despite their races and backgrounds.

Disabled parking outside this Cooperative Store is a Joke. Bays are always full with cars with no-one displaying badges and is used by parents picking their kids up from school. That is not what these bays are for. I have seen several people displaying badges unable to park at the store so they tend to give up and go elsewhere. Who ever is in charge of the parking needs to reinforce the regulations.

I’ve recently returned to this store and I have to say what an absolutely amazing transformation. I see there’s a lot of new faces. The store stock levels are good considering what’s going on in the world and the staff friendly and welcoming. A shout out to Zoe and Michael for explaining the shortage of milk on Saturday and the rough time it would be in.
