This is the best bouldering gym I have ever been to. The routesetting is very fun at every grade. And the grading is very accurate. If you are in the area I would recommend trying out this gym
What a gym this is! We had a bit of a nightmare as after being away for a few days, my other half had taken all our climbing gear out of the car by mistake ... Except an old pair of my daughter's climbing shoes. So we got here and she got to work .. mini climbing works for shorter people is brilliant. Awesome concept. Delivered well and the setting is next level. Technical and forces kids to learn to climb with good technique if they want to progress. Main climbing area for better climbers is superb. Great comp wall and training area plus lots of very challenging problems, which are once again of a superb standard in terms of problem setting. One of the best centres I've been to for setting. It's old skool vibe and not as clean and polished as the chain centres but don't let that out you off if you are new. You'll find lots of great easier problems too and fantastic coffee to boot! Also a shop on site for shoes merch etc. Top notch. Parking can be a bit tight.
One of the best climbing gyms in Sheffield, friendly and helpful staff and a great environment. Plenty of space to climb including a separate unit across the carpark. Can be a little on the expensive side with entry now around £10.50 each and make sure to sign the waiver beforehand.
We went to Mini works and absolutely loved it! Super chill and a fantastic place to take your kids of any age! We went with my 2.5 year old and he had such a good time climbing and my 6 month old who enjoyed watching!
Took our 4 year old to the Mini Works and he loved it. Lots of climbs for little ones, they're happy for you to take food along for them and there's snacks / drinks to buy. You pay an annual membership, a few quid for your first time assessment and then just the cost for the little one. So, seems expensive first time, but good value after that. Please like helpful reviews
Excellent bouldering center, a huge amount of problems that get changed regularly, with a good range of difficulties and enough to keep beginners like myself interested! Lovely staff and the community is really helpful.
Lovely friendly indoor bouldering venue which hires out bouldering pads to boot for easy distance outdoor bouldering to move on to in nice weather. On site parking and small shop inside. Recommended AAAA+++++
As a newbie climber i joined climbing works, it was good with lots of greens, but only being a ever so often the greens have gradually got less and it seems to be orientated towards experienced climbers. The price isn't that cheap so its a once ever so often treat to try get up some walls but being a unexperienced climber theres not much options to climb. I think it should be a rule as well as to wear a tshirt, too many topless men being macho walking around which can be imitating to others, plus a lot of the experienced climbers make you feel uncomfortable whilst they're waiting for their go. Unfortunately we will only venture here if we feel like it, we went to another one which is bigger and it sempt like it had a lot of different routes and walls we're able to get better at climbing.
A great gym all in all. They have nice old school route setting with a more modern comp wall and also Unit-E which is full of different styles. Full of friendly staff and locals, great coffee and snack selection. Good for beginners, and there is a kids section for the little ones.
The climbing walls were really good. But they charge extra for your first time going for seemingly no reason. The coffee was also wildly overpriced
