Absolutely lovely, welcoming and friendly pub. Dog friendly. The small plates menu is really great for those who want a bit of everything. My 3 dishes for £15 were so delicious. Freshly cooked. Beautifully presented. Very very tasty. The pub itself is a comfy cosy place. I would highly recommend.
Not been since changed owners. Called in on a muggy Saturday walk for lunch. Glad we did .. Good food, lovely staff, proper beer at £4/pint . Really enjoyed it . Will be back
What a great pub!! The location is beautiful and a good find after walking around the reservoirs and countryside. Really delicious food and plenty of it! Great choice of drinks and of course real ale. Plenty of space inside and the beer garden, a lovely atmosphere and great service with a friendly smile. I will definitely be going back. By the way I had the rag pudding, chips, proper mushy peas and gravy and it was amazing, spot on. Oh I forgot to mention dog friendly too!
Lovely atmosphere, called in for a pint and the smell of the food convinced us to give it a try. We weren't disappointed. Starters were amazing, burgers fantastic, pizzas were good. All made fresh. Staff were great, couldn't do enough for us. Definitely calling in again soon.
Nice pub in a nice location, however the food was average. Particularly disappointed with the kids meals. Just under £6 for 2 sausage and a small spoonful of mash and no veg. Certainly not enough for a hungry youngster. Would call again for a pint but will give the food a miss.
A lovely,welcoming pub for all; dog walkers,families and old codgers like us who nip in for an after-walk drink. Liz and Chris have taken over smoothly, having worked in the pub previously.They are always polite and accommodating.The light lunch menu is delicious!
Wonderful experience here, best food I’ve had out in a while! Perfectly priced, great drinks and loved seeing some adorable dogs! For those not into dogs there are dog free areas and the decor is lovely throughout. I can image the beer garden is a lovely place to grab a drink in the Summer.
First time visiting here. The service was so good and super friendly. Super accommodating with our boisterous puppy too. And the food was delicious and very well priced. We're new to the area so I'm happy I found a great local!
Such a lovely place with the great atmosphere. Everyone can find something for eat on the meny and there is plenty to drink also. Dogs are also welcome. Staff is really friendly and place is very affordable.
Great selection of foods,friendly service and could take our dog in one of rooms .Also loved the photos.Lovely way to spend a wet afternoon. Thank you
