Absolutely sensational. Every course was out of this world. Great service, lovely decor and the food was cooked to absolute perfection. This is the wife's favourite restaurant and having been before and enjoyed it, I genuinely wasn't blown away by the menu beforehand. I had the black pudding scotch egg which was perfectly soft and had a runny yolk. Great flavour and perfectly accompanied by the mustard mayonnaise. Proper thick creamy home made mayo too! I had the gammon chop, done to perfection, nice crispy edges but still succulent and juicy. The hand cut chips were golden and crispy on the outside with fluffy insides like little potato clouds the peppercorn sauce was rich and tasty but without overpowering the gammon. The poached egg on top was soft with a deliciously rich and creamy yolk. Lastly I had the Milk Chocolate Melting Bomb which was seriously on another level. I LOVE chocolate but often find chocolate desserts too rich and sickly, but this was exactly the right balance of delicious creamy melty chocolate with crunchy bits of orange in and a smooth toffee/caramel mousse which just added another dimension to the depth of flavour. It was honestly out of this world and the best dessert I've had in a very very long time. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed if you come here
Great place to go for a celebratory meal with drinks. Pretty interior with blossom trees and a conservatory area. Food and service were spot on. Portion sizes are generous but worth leaving room for dessert! Vegetarian options are adventurous and tasty. Menu is updated frequently - will definitely return!
I always have a grand time at the Cherry Tree. Their welcome is always friendly and efficient; their service always prompt and professional and the food is always creative, flavoursome and good value. I reccomend making a reservation on line to avoid disappointment; as it's always busy and the process is easy to do! For their afternoon tea: comparable prices with great selection, accompanied by beautiful surroundings. Fab time, enjoying a much needed catch up.
Beautiful food! Lovely service! Everyone at the table agreed the food was superb! Personally absolutely loved the Cherry Blossom cocktail! We didn’t have reservation but they were very accommodating and professional! I would recommend booking though, of course!
Beautiful that's how I'd describe this place ! The place the food the waiters all amazing. And the mocktails. Reasonable prices for such great food. I went for a birthday treat and it was a treat. Definitely want to go again soon.
This restaurant is absolutely spot on. Staff where very polite, very professional. The atmosphere was good. The food arrived in very good time. The starters and main we got was delicious, food was cooked to perfection, everything is very very clean, from cutlery to plates to tables. Could not fault anything, Will definitely be going again. Definitely worth 5 stars.

For the past 2 years, we’ve been trying to get to The Cherry Tree, but for numerous different reasons you didn’t get too. Until now. I’ve heard so many different amazing reports and read loads of reviews about The Cherry Tree and WOW it is exactly what we’ve read and heard and now I can see and be one of people who rave on about this restaurant. We visited The Cherry Tree for our anniversary, a special occasion and The Cherry Tree certainly didn’t disappoint at all. The 1st thing on entering The Cherry tree is their gorgeous décor, it’s very warm and inviting and straight away you know you’ve come to a very classy place. The staff were extremely friendly and always smiling & on a member of the staff shows us to our table all the staff member we passed all said hello, which might be a simple word but very heart warming. The Cherry Tree is a place YOU HAVE TO BOOK, otherwise you will very disappointed. It is kind of way in the middle of nowhere n Blackrod Bolton, so please book in advance. The reason I say this, is that when we booked there was an option asking it is was an occasion so I choose anniversary. On being seated we noticed their was a card on the table with our names on it..we opened it and they has congratulated us on our anniversary that explains exactly why as mentioned earlier this place is pure class. The menu is very good, you can either have a set menu or go from main menu, and theirs so much to choose you really are spoiled for choice. The meal was everything you have expected from The Cherry Tree, like I said once you enter this restaurant you know it’s going to perfect and it was just that. The meal was cooked to complete perfection – Al Dente as the Italians say. Even the presentation was brilliantly executed The staff came all the time to see if we were happy and it just makes the entire experience complete. Just when you think you’ve max out of the whole experience, even though we had dessert, The Cherry Tree then served a small heart-warming little dessert celebrating our anniversary and that just sums up how good and perfect The Cherry Tree is. Yes, The Cherry Tree is not cheap eats, but if you want a restaurant that is 100% perfect and exactly why they are named in the top 100 restaurants in UK, then you will have the ultimate experience from entering to leaving.
