The view of Big Ben from the outside is truly iconic, with its impressive Gothic architecture and the grand clock face standing tall against the London skyline. It’s a sight that never fails to capture the essence of London’s historical charm. I do wish I could experience the interior and see the clock mechanism up close. For now, the external view remains a memorable highlight of any visit to London.
Stunning building. It's so easily accessible. It's right next to the Westminster tube station. I recommend crossing the bridge to get a great view of the entire building. You can also get a great view from the Parliament Square Gardens. Every hour Big Ben chimes one time for every hour that has passed. So if it's 11pm at night, it will chime 11 times. It's an interesting way to announce the time of the day. I also strongly recommend seeing it at night.

From a distance, its Gothic Revival architecture makes a tremendous impression, and as you get closer, the intricate details become more evident. I witnessed the huge bell, known as Big Ben, ringing out the hours, and the sound it emits is truly impressive. Despite several renovations, the tower has retained its historic charm and continues to captivate with its elegance. The surrounding area, including St Stephen’s Tower and the Parliament buildings, only adds to its grandeur. Big Ben is not just an aesthetic masterpiece but also an important landmark in London. Its presence makes a visit to the UK capital feel more complete. This place perfectly blends history with modernity, and every moment spent near it is worthwhile.
What can you say about Elizabeth Tower that looking at it doesn't already impart? It's even better in person, especially when the sun is low. That said it looks great at any time of day or night from pretty much any angle and there are many to appreciate it from. Amazing, a must see obviously. I took a few pictures, one from the boat and one from the street. I highly recommend to see it on a boat cause you see it differently as you can see. What I can say. This building is just a piece of art. Very beautiful from any side. You must watch it from the bridge. Probably the first thing to see in London is BIG BEN.
