Despite the lass behind the bar juggling spinning plates. Doing drinks, taking food orders, taking food out, clearing tables. She got her steps up that shift. She was friendly, and food was delivered in good time despite how busy she was. Definitely come again when hiking in the area.
An unexpected stay at the wonderful Castle pub after our original booking was cancelled due to a power cut at the Fox House. We could not have been happier. Emma and her team looked after our group of 10 from the minute we arrived, nothing was to much, superb food, friendly staff and beautiful rooms, we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone, great location in a beautiful village. We will definitely be going back.

Enjoyed our lunch so much 2 weeks ago, after a snowy walk up Mam Tor, that I returned today for pudding and hot chocolate despite the diet.nLovely food, including vegan options which is fabulous. Cosy fires, friendly service and dog friendly.nHospitality doesn’t get better than this.
Food was absolutely sensational high quality great food fantastically presented great attention to detail venue was lovely and clean staff extremely polite and friendly would highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone
