Father's day visit booked weeks ahead and said we would have 2 dogs.nExpected it to be busy, but the tables were about 12inches apart making it difficult to access seats and no space for the dogs to lie down. It was uncomfortable for us and the diners next to us. One couple asked to move.nThe food was nice apart from the strange pavlova.nWe've been here before and sat in a room behind the bar which was nice.nToday was very average. I felt it was profit before comfort.
Dog friendly pubnLuckily they had boot covers in the porch area as we were embarrassingly muddy.nNice and cozy inside and a back room for the 4 legged friends to use.

After a disastrous meal at a nearby restaurant, we found ourselves in the Scotsmans Pack. Walking in, a very friendly gentleman behind the bar greeted us, I told him our predicament and he promised it would be far better here. It absolutely was. I'm glad the other restaurant was so bad because otherwise I would have never found this wonderful place. We ordered, received the food in around 15 minutes. Hot, fresh ingredients. Really nice food. Throughout the meal the man behind the bar kept checking if everything was OK, ended up having a bit of a chat with him after. Pretty good prices toonA fantastic place which I urge everyone to try.
Was very pleasantly surprised by this place. We got there early on a Sunday and there was a warm and welcoming feel to the pub. I had the Sunday roast lamb which was cooked perfectly and accompanied by equally well cooked sides. The staff were helpful and talkative and overall it felt like a brilliant pub with some brilliant food to accompany it.nnDog friendly too which is always a bonus!
