We had a quick lunch there. Food was good, classic loxla cuisine. Service was polite. Practical place after or before a distillery visit for example.
Not a bad restaurant at all, worth a visit, but tight on the veg portion size and the food was instantly out then instantly out and instantly gone again, the atmosphere is quite bland, reminds me of somewhere I might have eaten as a kid I'm 44 now
Travelling to Scotland for 20 years now, and at the Copper Top I probably had the best steak pie I ever had. So delicious that I forgot to take a picture of it, but the cup of coffee afterwards was equally rewarding! Recommended!
Amazing food with large portions, friendly staff and inviting atmosphere at a very resonable price. Definitely recommend.
Was here with family. Was pretty disappointed with the place. No atmosphere, hardly any people which didn't help, and for a bank holiday Friday found hard to believe.nSome dishes seemed to be quite good - the cajun chicken tortilla and the sandwich. The mixed grill was a total rip off, came on a tiny plate and definitely not worth the price. The steak pie was dreadful. Didn't complain at the time as was a guest, but wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back. Also, hadn't realised it closed so early- apart from north Scotland have never heard of a restaurant closing so early. We were there to make a night of it, but got chucked out with all the staff waiting for us to go.
