Great service and food at this pub. Went to this restaurant twice before both parts of the Cursed Child. Very convenient location when attending the show. Much less hectic and more laid back than a couple of the other establishments close by. The service upstairs was excellent - the drinks came out very fast and the food was warm. The bartender was very helpful and suggested some local beverages. We would definitely come back here on our next trip to London. Cheers!
Visited today, pub lunch. Staff very friendly good range of beers loved my toad in the hole and wife had the ham egg and chips. Both enjoyed our meals, will definitely eat here again
We came here for lunch this afternoon- love the atmosphere of the pub, staff were friendly and helpful. They provided beer samples to my boyfriend and were quick with service. We ordered mac and cheese balls with homemade chutney would definitely recommend, fish and chips with mushy peas and traditional steak and ale piea both were tasty. Overall, great experience and would like to go back and try other things on the menu!
Classic English pub that was the only one in the area serving food late. Everything was quite good however there wasn't much contents to the chicken pie, it was mostly thick, hard crust. Fish and chips were good, but not many fries.
Decent pub. Food is hit and miss. The toad in the hole is great. The chicken pot pie was small with thick crust with only a little filling. We didn't like the carrots. No cranberry juice but the had a refreshing raspberry soda. Staff is friendly.
The service and food were so good! Really enjoyed the gentleman behind the bar. Funny guy. Ate here as we were at the Cursed Child play and this is in very close proximity. Would def dine in again. Great food and atmosphere.
Great pub to have a Gin tonic, but also beer, cocktails or a quick bite. Located very well in the busy city center, still retaining a beautiful, historic interior.
This place has the best chicken pot pie in the area. They use real chicken breast. The bartender was so nice and he remembered my husband and myself when we came back. Unfortunately when we went back on Sunday night the kitchen had just closed and I really wanted another pot pie before we flew out the next day. We made a bad decision to try the restaurant next door, the pot pie was horrible and the chicken didn't look real it was one chunk of chicken and one chunk of ham. It was so nasty I didn't even eat the pie. I only opened it to examine the chicken and tried just a little piece and couldn't stomach the taste.
2 floors. had a half pint of ale and some crisps. Good atmosphere. gets crowded easily due to it being in a prime location.
Fantastic pub in London! Really good choice of food and real ales and not overly priced. Highly recommend this pub as they have really good choice for vegetarian, vegan, non vegetarian and fish eaters! I will definitely be going back.
