I have already been here three times and I will continue to come back. Not only is the food amazing but the environment is great too! They also have the best staff! When I am back in London I am for sure stopping by here no matter where I am staying! Highly recommend!
Cozy place, friendly and welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. We were a party of eight and had the most wonderful time when visiting Little Venice. Definitely a pub to come back, worth paying a visit even if you’re not in the zone ;
Wow! What a find!! Great place to eat & drink, came up to London to celebrate my son’s 18th. Lovely atmosphere and I wish I got the waitress’s name she was amazing she looked after use really well and even wrote Happy Birthday on the napkin under his pudding! Will definitely return when in London again! Thank you for a memorable & lovely evening!
Amazing atmosphere. Staff very friendly! Nice place to come to when the weather outside isn’t so nice!
Very disappointing meal for all of us. The food had been reheated/ kept warm and the meat had dried out and was tough. I wasn't happy either about being charged £3 for 4 pieces of chicken. We were given a full refund and a glass of prosecco. The staff were very apologetic.
Lovely traditional pub in Little Venice, however… the staff seem to have a slight bit of confusion over their menu One of our dining party decided to go for the healthier ‘Spiced Parsnip and Sweet Potato Soup’ over a main meal. Upon placing the order, we were made aware that there was none of the aforementioned soup left and that it would be mushroom soup. Fine, we said. That’s no bother. Myself now, I came across ‘Steak, Shin & Ale Pie’ “delightful” I thought! Placed my order and awaited eagerly for the savoury boozy beef pastry to be served. Once the meal came out, I cut into my pie only to notice that the cow meat was white in colour and was accompanied by some pig, white sauce and some leek… I called over the waiter who seemed a tad flustered before skipping off to confer with the chef about the animal inside the pie. He came back and told me it was indeed beef. I picked the meat apart and asked if he had ever seen white beef before. Maybe the chicken that ended up in there was a bit confused which pie factory he was suppose to be attending on the day of the pie construction We had a back and forth arguing about the fact that my pie was in fact chicken and not beef. I told him to take it to the chef and check. The chef then confirmed that it was not indeed the boozy beef pie I thought I was getting. I was told I could have 1/2 off of my meal at this point, which I argued and eventually got the meal for free. Turns out the menu is going to change next week and there had been a mix up with the pies. Though, the customer is always right, right? it appeared so in this case. All good, we cleared that one up! Remember back to that soup? Turns out the soup was not mushroom either and it was indeed the menu promised ground vegetable parsnip and sweet potato. All in all a confusing meal But apparently the fish was good! 3/5 Stars
This pace has always been one of my favorites! I live on a little boat on the canal with my wife and we just adore this pub! Julia the bartender/ waitress is a really sweet and attentive human , she deserves praise. Thank you so much for this lovely atmosphere you have created
We love the bridge house! We live on a little narrowboat and whenever we’re in town we come here for drinks and dinner. Julia is such a kind and lovely bar tender and waitress. She always had always a smiley face and is so polite and helpful! Great service all around! We’ll for sure be back!
The food here is great and it's got a nice feel. However, I originally booked a table for 7 of us to have dinner here and booked at 8pm. It turned out another friend had already booked for 7.30 so I cancelled my reservation and thank goodness I did! The kitchen takes last orders at 7.45pm on a Saturday!? and there is no communication or info about this when you book. If I'd have kept my original booking we'd have been starving! It's odd for a pub that has a theatre upstairs with a show that goes up at half 9 - you would think they might want to encourage audience members to come and eat and enjoy their time beforehand and it just doesn't give that vibe. I'd like to see better communication about their serving times bar too - we've been a few times for shows and the bar closing time seems to change arbitrarily or better yet, longer serving times. Because, as I said, the food we got was lovely particularly the Halloumi fries . Might also add the loos need attention. The ladies have two cubicles - one with no functioning lock on the door and no loo roll!, and one that doesn't flush. Take your pick....!
Lovely pub in the heart of Little Venice, great food and fantastic service. Love the quiz they do each week! Would recommend for anyone looking for good food and a great atmosphere
