Nice and cozy pub. We went for a Sunday Roast and it was great.
We went for a roast dinner last Sunday. Vegan/veggie options. I had the beef. I honestly can't praise it enough. Beautiful crispy outside fluffy inside potatoes, perfect crispy Yorkshire, red cabbage, carrots, parsnips, some kind of leeks, etc. Lovely hot gravy served in a separate, individual jugs. I like my gravy - didn't have to ask for extra. The beef was absolutely beautiful, thick slices of tender, perfection, and almost more than you could eat. Everything single thing was cooked to perfection. Best roast I've had in years. Will be back. Lovely staff, fast service, big, sunny beer garden n big covered outside area for if it rains. Can't fault it. Kx
Great outdoor atmosphere, really the main attraction of this pub, nice and huge with lots of bench seating and nice fairy lights adds to a very cool garden vibe. drinks prices are average. Toilet facilities were limited, small which would make me question disability access and also no soap
Had a Sunday roast dinner and it was overpriced and pretty grim. The chicken was meant to be a breast but came with wing and bone and the gravy was thin and watery. The whole thing was flavourless and almost inedible. Such a shame as I love this place but the food over the last year or so has really gone down hill. The cauli cheese was a fiver and came in a small bowl. Roast dinner needs serious improvement.
Great little pub. Food was tasty. Satff were friendly. Dogs welcome.
