Christmas festive meal booked in advance. We all opted for carvery, had to wait for Yorkshire puddings, then for potatoes, all been given with delay, only some of us were lucky to get pigs in blankets. After all we have received some discount due to the food situation, so fair play for this. It is a place where we are not going back for a meal.
Great lunch and catch up with dear friend, who's been coming here since it was The Salutation Inn! Really delicious, crispy and light pizzas, served by very friendly staff. Special thanks to Alison and her colleague, who made us feel so welcome and really went out of their way to look after us. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of free parking. A really special lunch out - as always! C&M
I went here on a few reviews I looked at ,I rang and booked a table just in case .we got seated and the menus looked good .I got the drinks 1 thatchers gold,1 cider zero driving and a tea for my son ,I ordered the large carvery with pigs in blanket. my missus ordered the standard carvery and my son had the margarita pizza good service all round ...my only gripe was the food could have been a bit hotter but still worth a visit. there was plenty of seating and car parking
Warm welcome & tasty good value meals.nStaff knowledge & understanding of allergens was refreshing, they made no drama out of this and went over and above to ensure safe practice. Will look forward to returning in the future.
We had the Carvery, and it was probably the best we have had so far in bristol. The food was clearly recognisable and still possessed its colour! The lady serving was obviously living her best life, and when she eventually smiled, it made my day! The only thing I was a bit surprised at was the lack of dairy free sweets available.
