Pat and Mike run a beach café nestled under the Grand Hotel on Swanage beach, serving Hot & Cold Drinks, extensive Menu, fully licensed & Ice Cream

Story

As well as opening through the day, Monday to Sunday, we also open some evenings through the summer with hot food being served.

We had the best day ever in Uk. The weather was so hot, we feel like we were in Canary Islands. The beach with sand, the premises very tidy and organised, the food perfect for any taste. Michael and his wife are a model to follow how to treat your customers. We will come back definitely.
Went here yesterday 5 of us for breakfast, love Swanage but never been to The cabin before, had a great meal set us up for the day, then of to the beach and Carnival, big thank you to all at the Cabin will definitely be back.
We like the cabin a lot. The only down side is that they have one older lady taking orders, doing drinks and payments which just doesn't work and then makes loads of queues. So many youngsters stood about serving food and this poor lady on her own. Plus there isn't any toilets so you have to walk to the nearest public loo. However food is amazing and drinks are cold. Plus the view from the tables upstairs is lovely.

Great location beside beach for pimms, glass of wine, soft drink. Food looks good. Prefer Americano to Cappuccino. Outside dining with cover from poor weather. Very relaxed & great service, good value for money
We just had the most delicious dinner at The Cabin. The food was lovely, the view spectacular and the staff were incredibly friendly. Contrary to a review below, portion size was very generous. Will definitely be coming back here!!
Excellent spot for a bit of lunch. Right on the beach. Great selection of food and beverages. Been a few times. Highly recommended.
The Cabin in Swanage is situated right on the Esplanade as you walk away from town..it has several tiers of bench seating with a couple of larger tables right on the Esplanade being accessible to all although the kiosks to order and pay are up some fairly steep stairs. I am sure one of the servers would be happy to help if needed though there are usually several around & they are a friendly bunch The second and third tiers up has some quaint little cabin seating tables with direct views out to sea providing some cover from rain. There is no indoor seating. Plus various other sized bench seating. The views are fantastic overlooking the bay and far out to sea. I have stopped by with my dog several times, dogs are welcome and that part of the beach is a lot more dog friendly this year due to Dorset council rolling into one and places being reassessed which is welcome news! Water bowl is provided and extra sausages can be bought The menu is fairly generic, the food also, service is good mainly, some staff are lovely and one or two not so much! Table numbers are needed when ordering and food is then brought to the table, the wait can be long and the prices a little ££ but some views are worth this and Swanage is a little lacking I feel in this particular niche so I do recommend especially for a scenic breakfast. *Don't expect oat milk or gluten free bread. Not for those with allergies. Summer 2022.
Still easily the best food around. Busy but we’ll staffed so service is very efficient. Staff friendly and cheerful. Keep up the good work Mike.
