First time in here and was welcomed by lovely lad, very helpful and friendly. My roast chicken was very good ! I was told about all the roast menu and given another menu which had variety of foods to chose From, really good dessert choice to. Comfortable seating, nice music playing in the background , great pub. Many thanks
Found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating so thank you The Butt of Sherry nWe were 6 adults, 2 babies and a large dog booked for Sunday lunch on 31 August.nnWe were put in a back room with a sturdy spacious table. Not squashed together which always helps.nnThe Sunday roast was excellent and plentiful.nnLots of good fresh veg, good roast potatoes so Well Done nnThank you once again.nnIt may not be the fanciest of establishments but its honest and very good food.nnWould definitely return
We found this place on a walk around. Its a great traditional pub and very clean. This is just good old pub food,so if your looking for fine dinning look else were. The wife and I had Beer battered Fish and Chips with a large coke and a pint of Fosters. We also had a starter of olives which were lovely.The service was very good, the wife needed more Tartar sauce which was bought instantly. All in all the pub and atmosphere made us very happy and relaxed.nOk I have to mention, I would of had to the 10 oz rump steak but quota for the day had been scoffed by other lucky customers. The wife said we will go there again so may be I'll get to to sample the 10oz Rump. All good
Great music in the background too. All 80s. Like the scissors to open the ketchup etc. little touches like that make all the difference.
The lunch was delicious, large portions, service and presentation good. A good varied selection to suit most preferences.
