The service is very good with friendly and helpful staff. The pizzas are a good price and are flexible when it comes to toppings. But the base isn't that nice, it was quite dry, thin and crispy to cut on hold without breaking. But the toppings are very tasty and food comes quickly and hot.
I enjoyed the restaurant. I personally prefer a thinner base on my pizzas and didn't find them to be dry at all. The garlic and rosemary bread however was. Could do with either being thicker and a bit less garlic. Service was friendly with little wait. A few tweaks and this could be a smashing restaurant and unlike others I actually went there before judging.
Being a home made pizza expert, not self confessed, but comments from friends, who have often said that my pizzas are the best they have ever had anywhere in the world and having visited the pizza capital of the world around Naples, l feel capable of passing comment. I was sent a picture of one of your pizzas, and for ten quid, it's pretty grim looking to be honest. The pizza is too thin and dry for starters. God knows what the dough recipe is, but it's a poor show. The toppings are just thrown on, olives all over the place like the jar just tipped over, and some spinach was just lobbed on top like it was going into the compost heap! No more than about 50p's worth of ingredients, if that. I was looking forward to coming to sample one, but on this visual account, I won't bother. I was also told by at least three friends that it's too noisy inside to enjoy yourself. This is such a shame. As for the colour of the building? So what. We want good food first and foremost don't we? I look forward to being invited over to share my expertise for free. You can't say fairer than that, can you?
Good pizza, good service. When we were there, there was "live music" which consisted of a dj playing Reggae music. The music was very loud and it didn't really make sense in the restaurant for me.
Went as part of a large party despite them having notice of this service was VERY slow. The alarms went off and whatever caused it had very acrid fumes...No comment from staff. Our table was never cleared nor were we asked for further drinks/coffee or dessert. I am a huge fan of both Folkestone outlets but won't be back to Hythe.
Lovely food, good atmosphere, friendly staff, wide choices of pizza cater for allergens including gluten free bases which are really tasty and are reasonably priced.
It stank of old and damp. The toilet has loo rols UNDER the hand dryer and water marks all over the loo walls. Service was ok considering we were the only 3 in the restaurant and the food was mediocre
The halloumi starter is beautiful and generous. Had some raspberry cake from the display but found it to be quite stodgy. Generally find Follies food to be a joy.
We love Follies.....amazing pizza....friendly staff and live music on Friday evenings. Great jazz music last night. Thanks for a good Evening!
Awful. Was so cold everyone had to wear their coats. The only thing I wanted on the menu they didn't have found out at ordering time, the table was filthy and the food mediocre.
