Outstanding Mega Roast!nnWe visited with family for a roast dinner, got tempted by their Mega Roast, a sharing roast dinner for 2 and this was phenomenal! Impressed that much we’ve decided to book for over 20 of us in a few weeks time …nnThe food itself was cooked to perfection, staff couldn’t have done more for you and were really hot on ensuring they understood your dietary preferences and allergies, which I personally thought was brilliant!nnCan’t wait to visit again and I’ll definitely be going for that Mega roast again as it comes with unlimited trimmings!!
We had a lovely birthday meal at Butchers. Starters were scallops and braised beef pie. They were fab! Cooked really well; very tasty.nThen we had steak; ribeye and fillet. Cooked exactly as we asked. The onion ring sides were amazing; lovely big home made rings.nThe staff were lovely; welcoming, attentive and polite. Great place. Would highly recommend.
This place has so much going for it.nIt was a mixed experience.nMaybe we were just unlucky.nnWe had the 'mega-roast' Sunday dinner.nThe pork was great. The beef lacked flavour. The chicken was bland. The roast potatoes had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for hours - they were not good at all, chewy and flavourless. All other veggies were lovely and buttery, not overcooked so still had a good bite. Gravy was tasty but too runny for my personal taste.nnService was slow, we were directed to our table and had to go and find our own menus, a bit annoying considering we saw a couple who arrived after us being shown to their table and provided with menus and water. Our food arrived really quickly but we had to wait ages for plates.nnOverall, I'd say not worth the money.
Haven’t been for a while but a great choice for a fantastic Sunday lunchnGreat serving and helpful staff.nReally enjoyable and even had room for there desserts with a twist.
Very nice! Met a friend for Sunday roast and we sat in the bar area. Had a lovely time.nnReally reasonable price for such a generous portion.nnAll really tasty but I felt the girlie was a tad scorched!
