The Burnbrae

About

The Burnbrae Bar, Restaurant, & Meeting rooms is traditional yet delivers modern standards with the highest service

Story

The Burnbrae is located on the main road into Milngavie, the A81, next to the Bearsden Premier Inn. Built in 2001, this modern pub has the more traditional look of a pub at the turn of the last century! With reclaimed timber and real fires there is a very cosy atmosphere here despite it having plenty of room for dining inside and more on the patio, weather permitting. Our clientele include people just coming to choose a quality drink from the well stocked bar or those wanting a tasty meal. Our food can be chosen from the main menu or the Specials boards around the pub. There is an excellent choice of wines to accompany your meal or a selection of real ales if preferred. With Cask Marque accreditation you can be sure these will be served to perfection! Why not call in next time you are in the area and maybe stay at the Premier Inn next door to make your visit extra special. We also offer a meeting room and private dinning rooms

"The Burnbrae in Bearsden is a pub that's fresh and ready to serve you a chargrilled feast. We know our craft - uncomplicated, just quality ingredients and products prepared exceptionally well in a modern, comfortable pub environment and served by our friendly team of real people. At Burnbrae treat yourself to a quality experience in a comfortable, familiar and relaxed setting."

Streak very tough. Waitress very efficient and friendly. However gentleman who greeted us on arrival just after 2pm only gave us the main menu and not the lunch time menu he should have offered us both menu's as the lunch deal was on until 5pm. Spotted another couple browsing the lunch menu and had to ask the waitress about the lunch menu and was given the menu.
Went here for Mother's Day. Nice ambience about the place and great service, but the meal was decidedly average, which was disappointing given the good reviews on here. Under cooked roast potatoes, tasteless sausages and turkey, which can only be constituted as reformed meat. Won't rush back for a roast dinner.
Really enjoyed the food in here. I was staying in the Premier Inn next door so I was here for breakfast each day but I did come for a few evening meals too. The staff are excellent, very accommodating. I use a wheelchair and the entrance isn't very accessible as it's very tight and has doors you need to manually open. There is also a fire extinguisher on the wall as your enter the restraunt that gets right in the way.
There's a couple of things on the menu that aren't great but on the whole it's above average and not too expensive. Their breakfast is amazing and not to expensive. Much better than the beefeater across the road. Their menu is pretty limited, and they stop serving breakfast at 1030 and close the kitchen till 1230. If you're struggling to decide between the 2 I'd 100% go with the burnbrae
Great food friendly staff - Guinness well kept. After a 7 hour drive it was a great place to relax with great food and service couldn’t fault a thing
I absolutely loved the interior vibe of the place. Staffs are soo nice and welcoming. Very good options for vegetarians and vegans as well.
Went there and was amazing experience lovely inside candles on table staff very helpful and very busy the meals where 5 star and the way I like my steak cooked fish very tasty and crispy batter and a full glass of coke not half pint keep up good job
Very nice pub with brilliant staff. Visited on the day of the Queens funeral so was a busy day. We hadn't booked and tried our luck. Joanne was especially welcoming with us, promptly at us in the bar and took our orders for us, she had a fabulous nature and general friendly and kind manner about her. Looked after us very well without being intrusive. Thanks for a lovely lunch, Joanne is a credit to the pub!
Guesses as to what my photo shows. Cold splodge meant to be Sticky toffee pudding. Went with friends as we have several times. Love the restaurant and staff but food is decidedly just not great. Such a let down time and time again. Has been on and off like this for several years now. So time to give it a miss yet again. The rest of the food was mediocre. Spoiled what should have been a nice catch up with friends. There is definitely far better nearby...Will be heading to Bearsden.
Had a wonderful family Sunday dinner there recently. I was delighted to see two delicious vegetarian options available which is quite rare without a chickpea in sight! The rest of the family had pork & beef and were equally impressed. Thank you very much!
