About

Home cooked traditional english pub food, generous portions and always served with a friendly smile.

Story

We are a husband and wife team, with some great staff in support. We do our best to give a really warm welcome to everyone who walks through our door.
One of the few remaining traditional English pubs around, we offer home-made food and drinks.
We also have newly refurbished en-suite rooms avaliable.

Couldn’t rate this place more highly. Excellent value for money with very high quality rooms. From the welcome to meals, the service is first class. Very comfortable beds, reasonably priced food & drink. The most comfortable bed & bedding I’ve slept in for a long time! Would highly recommend.

Spacious and comfy room. Bathroom has large deep bath and love the added touch of makeup/shaving mirror in bathroom, something that most hotels don't have. Food was good and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here regularly for about 4 months, really nice people run the place, Doug and Becks. They go out of their way to ensure that all guests feel special. Rooms are nice, well decorated and very clean, but be careful, if you stay here you may well put on weight, the portions are massive.

A lot of effort has been made to refurbish this pub and it has been worthwhile. A good lunchtime menu with a reasonably priced menu and equally important, friendly staff

Great Local home cooked meals, nice beer (I reccomend having the Guiness) Friendly staff, good value for money and Local! Only downside is no beer garden, but if you can look past that, you could have a great time here
