Great menu, beers and service. We made a reservation and there was a nice ‘reserved’ note on our table with flowers. My wife absolutely loved the fish and chips too! I got the chicken/pork pie and it also quite good. The mash were superb as were the peas I’m from the states!. Great selection of drafts too. Staff were quite pleasant and helpful too!
Arrived 45 minutes early for 12:45 booking and had no trouble being sat or staff being put out because we were early. We received excellent service and the food was top notch! We came specifically to try the Sunday roast, fish & chips, and sticky toffee pudding. So delicious!Food: 5/5
We loved this restaurant! The food was amazing, especially the classic Fish n' Chips, served in a gourmet way, the burger was amazing. Booking ahead is a good idea as it gets busy quickly. The service was alright - friendly and fast with our meals, although we had to remind them a few times about our dessert order. Overall, although the price can be a little bit high, we recommend visiting for a taste of classic London.
if you want to avoid the everyday hustle and bustle of London and eat and drink well with the locals... you are in the right place. I sincerely recommend this lovely pub Food: 5/5
Great service. As tourists e we were unsure whether to order at table or bar, hosts were very understanding and accommodating. I’m not the foremost authority on fish and cops but this was very good. Told it was Haddock not Cod with a nice light beer batter fry. We came in for a quick meal but it appeared to be semi local as there were lots of families. Friendly atmosphere, good food, what more could you ask for.
We enjoyed an excellent beer-battered fresh Atlantic haddock with chips and then timperley rhubarb & apple crumble with vanilla crème anglaise. We like this pub very much.Food: 5/5
Fairly modern interior and a modern style pub. Decent beer selection. Good service. Tried a scotch egg and it was very well made and seemed perfectly freshly made. Enjoyable visit.Food: 4/5
Three of us came for Sunday Roast. We made reservations and were seated upon arrival. Service was very good. The food was outstanding. Dog friendly, too. We got to meet Libby.Food: 5/5
We had an amazing Sunday lunch here today. We had our table booked, however the pub still had customers on their table who literally refused to leave, even though their time was up. The place is packed and the staff went above and beyond to seat us and we where happy to take a table outside as the sun was shining. We decided on the Sunday roast platter which consisted on the roast chicken, sirloin and pork belly with all the trimming and it was absolutely delicious. Desert was mandarin cheesecake which again was delicious, not our first choice but it was a very busy day. Staff honestly make this place what it is, so lovely, attentive and friendly and honestly they made our afternoon. Loving the new re-fit but be warned, the place is packed so be sure to book and we look forward to going back soon.
Such a pretty little pub with friendly, helpful staff. I was traveling solo and stopped in for a quick evening meal. I was especially pleased to see some lighter, healthier options available. Delicious food.Food: 5/5
