A beautiful experience. We arrived right at open and the service was incredible to start but slowly dialed back as the restaurant filled up. At times this meant we had dirty dishes in front of us for a good while. So we went from being astonished to slightly disappointed when we had our expectations set as one thing and saw it devolve over time. The food itself was excellent with one dish in particular being arguably the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. If I had a critique it was a blue cheese desert at the end that neither of us liked and couldn’t bother to try more than one bite- they should get rid of that dish completely. If you abstain from alcohol, you’ll enjoy the Non-alcoholic pairings for your dinner, though there was an over reliance on vinegars. For those who enjoy alcohol, the wine pairing was great! And at the end they even allowed me the fun of piecing together my own desert wine flight which did not disappoint. Lastly, I’ll comment that the flatware was gorgeous and there was a course where we got to select our knife from their collection. A lot of fun. Overall an excellent experience and I’d love to come back.
My wife and I had an amazing meal at Gordon Ramsay in 2022. The service is impeccable, like nothing I have experienced before. The waiters and staff take pride in their service, detailed knowledge and explanation of the food and always attentive without being overbearing. Always friendly and smiling. The food was delightful, presented like artwork. Even the cutlery was something to marvel at. We spent almost 3 hours dining, it was a truly memorable experience.
Been on the list for a while. The grande dame of London Michelin 3 star establishments. First off, the dining room is a bit strange... it's much smaller than I thought and difficult to describe the layout and atmosphere. The sommelier and food were both excellent though. Really enjoyed every course and the service was pitched just right.. not too fussy or rushed. We spent a long time here and as always went for the additional options and the pairing for good measure with a side bottle of champagne to keep things going. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Food and service impeccable and got a hello from Matt abé and he signed my book too. Atmosphere not great but the food is everything here.
This has been on my bucket list for many years and I’m so happy to say this was a major highlight during our London trip! This was one of our favorite Michelin-starred restaurants we’ve been to - so much flavor packed into very delicate presentations. The dining room is quaint, but elegant and inviting. The service was top-notch and their tasting menu out of this world delicious. The wine pairing also accentuated each dish wonderfully so I’d recommend you splurge a little extra to get the full experience. Hoping to return one day - couldn’t have spent a better night to celebrate an engagement. A big thank you to the Restaurant Gordon Ramsay team!
Our first experience at a Michelin 3-star restaurant, and it was truly unforgettable! We chose the Carte Blanche menu with the addition of the truffle pasta, and it surpassed all our expectations. The service, though, was the real standout—exceptional in every way. They even offered us the menu to take home as a keepsake, a wonderfully thoughtful gesture. Best three hours we have spent in a long time!
A warning: prices on the menus don't include VAT. Add the 15% service charge and the true price is 35% above the sticker price. If you're rich and don't care, more power to you. If you're saving up for this experience, keep this in mind. I love fine dining, so what better way to experience this than Restaurant Gordon Ramsay that has only had two years without its three Michelin stars. The short version is if you want to experience three Michelin stars and need to choose, go to The Fat Duck which is unique. Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is very good. Very, VERY good. But, and there is a big but, when you've been at the top of your game for this long, an incredible feat, no doubt, it does seem a bit formulaic. The service was wonderful, especially the lovely Italian girl whose name I cannot remember [sorry, if you're reading this! It was a month ago and I have internet memory. :_ ]. The atmosphere...well, I like a little bit more hustle and bustle. You could have heard a pin drop in there so when my friend and I were talking, we really kept our voices down. There was a birthday party opposite us of what looked like people in their early twenties wow, I would never have been able to go here in my twenties! who hardly made any noise. ¡Qué celebración! :-/ We went for the Carte Blanche menu where you leave it up to the chef for an additional price. Not sure if that was worth it, but overall the food was exemplary and cannot be faulted. The dishes are below. I would advise those serving the dishes to slow down when they're explaining them. I understand they have probably explained a dish a few thousand times, but this is our first time and sometimes I didn't catch what they said. I even had to ask them to repeat what they said a few times. Anyway, this is my best attempt translating what they said :- : - Tomato Ashley with butter - Colchester oyster caused with oyster tempura side - Bread with nigella seasoned rosemary and lightly salted butter - Isle of Skye scallops - classic Ramsay. Loved it. - Brille with scallop mousse - unbelievable taste sensations. - Venison with side of shoulder of venison bun - cooked perfectly. - British treacle tart and Italian cheese gratin with honey - Fois Grais grape sorbet - Take on an After Eight, spearmint ice cream and dark chocolate - has to be one of the best desserts I have ever had. I love After Eights. - Salted caramel chocolate, strawberry and raspberry jelly, soufflé - to finish us off. :- Definitely worth an experience. Loses a star because it's over priced IMO. The distance between the quality here and a one Michelin like Restaurant St. Barts is over double which is what the price point is. I think, actually, I prefer the one and two Michelins as they are not only better value, but they're working to get thier next star. Would I return? No. That was definitely a one and done. Unless someone else is paying. I have another 45 Michelin restaurants to visit in London and will be doing the one and two Michelin starred restaurants first.
We had high expectations and they delivered. Service was excellent, interactive and attentive. Wine pairing was outstanding. The fact that they used a critically endangered fish, which was my least favourite dish was disappointing. The ambience was lacking in location and style.Food: 4/5
Hands down one of the best michelin star restaurants i have been to. Ambiance, Service , food all 10/10! i have no more words to say! just amazing !Food: 5/5
The service was excellent, the food was mouth watering. The atmosphere was a bit loud to be honest. Had a lovely surprise with a little card from the staff and a small cake for my birthday. On the whole it was an amazing experience. Slightly over priced but amazing experience.Food: 5/5
Many excellent reviews on here - hard to fault the dining experience : it’s delightful food in a very intimate dining room where you are very well looked after. We opted for the carte Blanche menu and had some excellent starters including a lovely scallop course as well as an oyster course. The Parker House Roll was delicious I am partial to the bread… as were the main fish and meat courses … the cheese course was included and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it usually not a cheese course person. The dessert was the “after 8” mint and chocolate combo- which even for someone who is not an after 8 enthusiast was quite delicious … something about the creaminess of the mint cake! We did not opt for the pairing but left it to the sommerlier who picked out 3-4 glasses for us, which was an excellent pairing experience and good value. Overall, a great experience, which more than meets the high expectations… except perhaps if you want their famous tarte tatin to be added as an extra, there was a certain inflexibility the a la carte menu wasn’t being offered… guess will have to be back for that one!
