Firstly, THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE EVER. We were extremely surprised at how good it was. We loved the french toast, our only fault the with the dish is that it needed a lot more sauce and toppings. There wasn’t a lot to shout about the traditional English breakfast. It wasn’t amazing, but it satisfied the hunger groans. This place is really popular on a weekend, so if you have plans to go brunch, I would encourage that you book up in advanced.
Lovely food, very nice vibes every time, whether it's a chilled grabbing a coffee or a tea with one of the amazing cakes, or it's an evening with a cool dj on, who reads the audience and put the right music. There is a second floor, which is sometimes hired out for private events. The selection of teas is very impressive and the food is very tasty. Service can be a hit and miss, depending on how busy the kitchen is. But overall, great place to hang out at any time of the day.
First time visiting, nice vibe and decor. We wanted the all day breakfast but it wasn't available. So we ordered off the all day menu, salt and pepper buttermilk fried chicken burger, brioche bun, skinny fries and was recommended the pan fried chicken thigh, served with bubble and squeak, creamed cabbage, bacon and crispy shallot crumb, honey mustard dressing. Took a while to arrive, so if you fancy a chat for 25 mins or so, this is perfect for you. Portion size wasn't that generous, tasted nice but the bottom of the bubble and squeak was burnt badly which spoilt the taste. The skinny fries were warm enough, either. What would be helpful is, there were images of the dishes so it could help you make up your mind. Overall it wasn't too bad. There's also a corner area selling candles, plants, gin and tea. Worth a gander.
We've been visiting different local restaurants for breakfast over the last 12 months, and have loved the variety. This was far and above the worst experience. I've had to wait a couple of days to write the review, so that I could be objective. Arrived at 10am, and it was heaving, which we took as a good sign. If their busy, they must be good, right? Wrong. Sat for 15 minutes at a filthy table, we had to clear the used plates etc from the previous customer ourselves. Asked a passing member of staff if he could wipe the table down for us, it was covered in food and coffee stains - he was carrying a cloth and a spray bottle, and looked at us like we had two heads. He didn't clean the table. Ordered food via the app. Drinks arrived after ten minutes. After 30 minutes, we asked a server if she could check where our food was - people arriving after us had already been served. She said she'd check... food finally turned up 45 minutes after ordering. 35 minutes after our drinks. Food was stone cold. Poached eggs on the Eggs Benedict were virtually raw. Bacon on the Full English bizarrely tasted of fish. We left without finishing, and definitely won't be returning.
Lead is a lovely little store to sit down and enjoy a light drink or meal with some friends. Leaf has a very unique menu filled with unusual tea for you to try out. The prices are fair for being in Liverpool city. Due to the location of the store it is normally quieter that others in the area so it's a lovely chill out spot. There is a large variety of food and drink available. Unfortunately some of the items we ordered were not available so we had to change our order but this wasn't too much of a problem. The staff are friendly and will help if asked. They dilivary food directly to your table and the wait isn't very long. I would definitely like to visit again to try some other items out
Enjoyed a delicious breakfast here with my friends as part of a hen do. The staff were absolutely lovely, very attentive and the food itself was of an amazing quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone in Liverpool.
Came here for a brunch. Great food and various choices for drinks. Friendly staffs and quick service. There's no cutlery in the takeaway box.
I saw so many recommends on social media but was very disappointed. My mocha has bits of nondissovled hot chocolate chunks at the bottom…. My partner’s breakfast tea is also so bland and tastes nothing. Food is mediocre, service is friendly though
Came here for brunch last Friday and I was disappointed. Myself and partner ordered eggs royale they came pretty quickly but you could taste they had been sat in water for a while. They eggs where also cold and the hollandaise sauce was lukewarm. The latte wasn't the best either.
Super tasty! I had this bowl don’t remember the name but it was very good, and good quantity as well. Usually I’m not into falafel but this one was yummy!
