Never visited before, waited 20 minutes for the starters to arrive and was bluntly told i had to get my own cutlery and sauces. Wasn't pleased to find pieces of food in the dip I was given with my starter. Waited another 15 minutes before my starters were taken from the table without any apologies for the long wait. Mains came swiftly but was quickly disappointed to be given a steak knife with food on it. My steak was overcooked, mushroom dry from being deep fried and tomato still raw. When I complained to the manager he seemed uninterested and not at all sympathetic. I received a refund for my troubles but was completely shocked by the whole experience.

Fairly standard pub food. Burgers, classic pub dishes, curry etc. Only a few vegetarian options but were good. Plenty of seating available and areas where you can be quite private. Large parking area and good outside space for when it is warmer.

I never write bad reviews but I feel I have to in this instance. Manager appears to have an attitude problem with customers, does not speak when ordering & looks fed up etc. 6-7 chaps were drinking, chatting & watching the football on TV. The manager came up & asked them "why can't you bring your empty glasses back to the bar" then purposely made a loud noise clacking them together. The manager then came to our table & made a similar comment & again clacking our empty glasses together. This manager has an attitude problem with customers & has no customer focus whatsover. I will never come back to this pub & will advise other people not to also. One star only as the food was reasonable for quality & price. The gents toilets were dirty & smelt awful. A very dissapointing evening.

Great family friendly pub whose staff were all really helpful and efficient. Food was fantastic and extremely good value, highly recommended
