Carvery was lovely though the plates were too hot and I'm disabled but couldn't find anyone to help me back for the table which became a struggle. The food itself was excellent however for the price, the view of the river made the dinner even nicer. It was our second visit and we will definitely return again

First visit here and will definitely be back. We had a breakfast and for the money it cost was outstanding value, with great selection. The dining room was very nice and clean, the atmosphere was relaxed and staff good. Being a lovely sunny morning the doors were open onto the lovely patio overlooking the river.
We cannot wait to return.

I had a lovely experience down at the bridge house carvery. Even though it was rammed to the rafters with hungry customers every member of staff was speaking with such great attitude. One special mention to the young chap on the car very deck who I have a delightful chat with every Monday evening; best member of staff there as always slices quality pieces of meat and always makes time for a chat with the customer, no matter how busy or stressed he is.

A great place to eat and stay. With river views from the restaurant and some of the rooms. My cousin and his wife stayed there for 4 nights and said it was excellent. They had a river view room and loved the carvery.
Prices are very reasonable. Another member of the family booked in for tow nights and stayed for three due to being snowed in. She was amazed at the wild birds she saw from her river view room. She even saw a kingfisher. Now she wants to come back in April, she liked it so much.

Parking available at the front and back. Disabled parking is also available at the front. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was quiet. I suspect this was due to it being very early in the year. The food was very good with a full English Breakfast buffet and cereals, bread, fruit and even salmon all for £6.99. I feel this was good value. Being able to sit at a table by the windows to be able to look out at the river made the experience that extra bit special. Highly recommend the breakfast and although I have not experienced the carvery, if it's as carefully selected and cooked as well as the breakfasts, then I would definitely return one day to experience it.
