Lovely clean, sweet cottage in gorgeous Dorset. A treat to get away in the middle of a pandemic. The owners look after you. Lots to see and do if you can get out...Nice walks.
A beautiful cottage with everything supplied. My only issue was that it hadnt been cleaned before our arrival. Everything was dusty and there were cobwebs in the bedrooms. Thats why i gave it a 4 star rather than 5
it was a lovely cottage with a high quality interior and super location, but if you don't like dog hairs then it's not the place for you! the owner assured me the place would be thoroughly cleaned of them, i'm sorry to say that wasn't the case. overall, definately clean. bedding spotless. however, it was all the black dog hairs we found, in cups, bowls, on the table where we ate. on the cushions in the living room even in the bathroom upstairs we found them in the sink, on the toilet, on the tiles around the bath. i can only suggest that whoever did do the cleaning that they used the same cloth to do everwhere-including floors-and past the hairs around. if it had been vacuumed properly then we wouldn't have seen hairs around the skirting boards. obviously in a pet friendly place we expected some hairs--no one can be that thorough, we've had our own dogs in the past. we are not exaggerating. that was what we found. we would never stay in a 'pet friendly' place again as we would always be taking a chance. but it seems almost everywhere allows them now and people like us are in the minority--even hotels cater for them, so we don't get much choice. as a tip, it would've been very useful to have leaflets at the cottage of places to visit and a maps of the area. every place we've ever stayed have them. there were plenty of 'bramble cottage' ones though! obviously these comments won't go down well. we can only say what we found.
