This is run by the Olive Branch pub (Hall & Wodehouse) and therefore has a part time receptionist & no facilities on site. The bedrooms are quaint, furnished with antique (or mock antique) furniture - we had a very comfortable 4 poster bed. I liked the room but you've got to be deaf to get a full night's sleep. It is almost opposite the lovely Minster and the bells ring on the hour until 2am & start a gain at 7. We stayed on a Saturday so at 8 am they began there chorus. I'm a sound sleeper but that woke even me up (my wife & daughter were not so fortunate). They do provide ear plugs which helped my daughter considerably. Breakfast, which is taken down the road at the Olive Branch, was very good with a fair choice. Staff were all friendly & helpful. So this is a great place to stay apart from the bells!

We stayed here for two nights in awesome room number 7 for my birthday. It has a fabulous copper bath in the room and a large four poster. I loved all the detail in the room and it although a very large room it felt really cozy. We also enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the Olive branch too. We will definitely be staying here again.

This was our first stay at 1777 The Albion and we were not disappointed. The booking process was easy and straightforward, our room 10 was large, comfortable and well equipped, with a spacious en suite bathroom and we were particularly well looked after by Sarah and Jake. Despite the short walk to The Olive Branch for meals, the standard of the associated public house facility was excellent, with high quality food and service from the friendly and attentive staff. We have booked to return in May this year with our daughter, son in law and their two grandsons.

We stayed for one night, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were delightful, full of interesting features, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. The breakfast down the road at The Olive Branch was excellent and again we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and if we visit Wimborne again it will certainly be our first choice.

Our room, number 10, at the top of the building was comfortably large and well appointed. It lacked nothing to make our stay enjoyable. The bathroom was well equipped and had a marvellous shower. The fact that we had to walk round the corner for breakfast didn't bother us at all, as The Olive Branch is a lovely restaurant at any time of day and we also went there for an excellent dinner. We would certainly return to this central hotel.
