Really good and very historic pub in the centre of St Albans. Kings may have fought battles outside, but I had a really good pint inside. Good range 10+ of real ales and ciders, smallish food menu. Well worth a visit.
Had a lovely catch up and drink in here, must book or else you wont find a table. We were lucky table reserved for 7pm we got there at 6pm so borrowed for an hour. Manager and staff all very polite and helpful.
Nice cosy little pub in St Alban's, only been under Corona restrictions so can't say what it is properly like as it was all table seating and table service. Would be good packed to the rafters! They had a good selection of real ale.
Very friendly helpful staff. One of the best burgers I've had for some time. Beers good too - and we'll managed.
Not quite a gin drinkers paradise but a good pub
Really friendly staff good social distancing and table service
Great service, very clean, keeping to the rules, the best pub in st Albans, the bar maid ran around like it was her first day at work...
Such friendly staff. Good was yummy
Lovely old boozer. Good range of beers and ales. Nice atmosphere with low ceilings. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars cos they charged me 20 quid for a G&T, a pint and a bag of crisps.
