Fab indy bookshop - great range of books, good greetings' cards, diaries, notebooks, gift wrap as well - good Christmas selection, also advent calendars. Helpful staff, can order books in very quickly, lovely vibe and displays, nice couple of quiet chairs at back to have a read.
Little disappointed. I was interested in books for learning Spanish, French or Italian. Even they are recommended on internet for that, I didn't find any books for learning foreign languages. Staff was nice, but their collection of books is not diversified, quite limited.
Excellent book shop with plenty of choice and really nice facilities. Also loyalty card as well on offer.
One of the joys of a visit to Thame is being able to spend time browsing in the Book House. The staff are very welcoming and very knowledgeable and if a book is not in stock they will order it and more often then not it is available for collection the following day.
A lovely little find along Thame high street. Yes, some books are slightly overpriced compared to what you could get online, but there's nothing like having a new book right there & then or supporting small businesses. They've got a great selection of all genres to suit everyone, so we can recommend a visit here.
Lovely book shop, helpful staff
The Book House staff provide a wonderful service and couldn't be more helpful. The selection of books is fantastic and my 6 year old loves visiting to choose a new book in their fabulous children's section. The next day ordering service is brilliant and their loyalty scheme, which gives you discounts, helps to make their prices more competitive with online book suppliers.
The Book House is a complete treasure with the most amazing staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they always go the extra mile. It is a wonderful place and I have been blown away by how helpful and brilliant they are in there. It’s an essential place to visit during any trip to Thame!
A little gem on the high Street in Thame. Can easily be missed at its at the far end, so make sure to look out for the Puffin outside the shop. Very friendly service with a great range of books and they can order anything you want normally within just a couple of days.. So need to rely on Amazon! I also like their recommendations in store.
An excellent independent bookshop. How they cram so much stock into the space available is a wonder and in the unlikely event you don't find what you want, the staff are knowledgeable and very helpful.
