We loved the pub. It’s dog friendly dogs are allowed inside. So we went after a walk & enjoyed the large menu. Gammon egg & chips were cooked lovely perfect runny egg. Chips could have done with a bit longer and the halloumi skewers with half rice half chips. Great pub food and friendly service. Will be back again!
Absolutely stunning. Best pizzas and garlic bread; the ploughman's platter was amazing. High quality ingredients, done well. Top that off with friendly staff and you're on to a winner!
Great meal and service, called in on passing and was not disappointed. Good choice of meals and desserts, my chilli was excellent. Busy but did not detract from the service and helpfulness of the staff in assisting with my partners dairy free options. Atmosphere very warming and would definitely revisit if in the area again.
Came here for a Birthday Meal with the family. We had a great time. The service and food was top notch. We were served by Shannon, who was brilliant with us. Made a real effort to make us feel comfortable and even surprised us with a bit of cake for the Birthday girl. The Sirloin steak with Blue cheese sauce was beautiful. Highly recommended
We visited here for first time today, no trouble finding us a table, provided high chair for youngest, & dog friendly. We ordered sandwiches from.lunch menu & drinks, food was delicious, drinks hot & came in reasonable time. Ordered fish finger butty & club sandwich. The service was friendly, helpful & polite from the 3 staff we met, 2 blond women & 1 male. Atmosphere was cosy, warm & loved the music choices too. Loved the decor in bathroom too! Definitely return when in area. Thank you. Only criticism is they asked for drinks order before we sat down & we were abit flustered sorting children out & removing bags & coats.
Lovely home cooked food. Had a Sunday dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff lovely and friendly
Called in one Sunday whilst walking the dog. Very friendly owners, make you feel very welcome. Dog friendly, even has a doggy bar with treats and bowls of water. Plenty of outdoor sitting space. Also do good food Came back for food 15-12-21. I had Pizza and my partner had the seafood platter. Both were amazing. Pizza is done in a proper Pizza oven which make all the difference. You can add as many or as little toppings as you want, it was delicious. I was told the seafood platter was extremely tasty. Again a very warm welcome and attentive staff. Will be back
Called on spec at 6 o'clock to book a 6.30pm table. Wasn't a problem although wasn't sure what we'd find. We were lucky enough to find a welcoming & traditional style pub that did lovely food - good service, no long wait times & well presented pub meals served by friendly & helpful staff despite how rather busy the place was. There was a fair variety of pub meals on the menu at reasonable prices. Pleasant popular music played that was actually in the background not too loud. Not sure if kids are allowed - didn't see any, but it seems well-behaved dogs are. Nice ambience, inglenook fireplace, and old fashioned style decor. Facilities simple & clean. Enjoyed our visit & planning on going again tonight to try out other meals on the menu.
Highly recommend this pub, properly ticks all the boxes! Nice warm welcome from the staff who were all great, clean & funky decor and last but not definitely not least, brilliant value tasty food...The current £5 lunch deal is unbelievable in the current climate, and they seem to have loads of good offers on other stuff too which can't be a bad thing right now, fair play to them. We had Spanish Chicken panini & the steak sandwich, both were really well cooked and delicious. Also had an amazing pizza takeaway from here recently, so we're thinking we may just eat all our meals here from now on... :- ..Cheers!
First visit and definitely won't be the last. Great atmosphere and most importantly dog friendly. We had a couple of small issues with our food and the lovely friendly staff dealt with it quickly without making us feel uncomfortable and were very apologetic. They even offered a refund which we declined as once the issue was rectified it was worth every penny and more. We will be back and would highly recommend.
