£9.40 for two watered down pints of Guinness served in John Smith glass. Would've been bearable if there hadn't been a 10 minute wait for it in an empty pub. Perhaps it's better on event nights but I wouldn't go back to find out.
The top bar was kept beautifully clean. The bartender Danny was fantastic with suggestions of what to drink and excellent pairing suggestions. It's nice to meet a bartender who knows his stuff. Didn't visit downstairs and would have stayed longer but had somewhere to be. Fully recommended.
Cramped and loud. No good space separate from the music and the dancefloor is small. Men's toilets were not cleared after being soiled for several hours on the steps leading to the facilities and inside. Cheapish drinks and quick service but only really a stop if you are really sloshed.
Went in for a cocktail before going to see a film. We've had it before but this time it tasted awful, took it back to the bar only to be told it's meant to taste like that... if I'd have wanted to drink fairy washing up liquid I'd have nipped to wilkos instead!
Not bad but I went during a Hallowe'en disco so I probably wasn't seeing it at its best. Edit: just revisited and my opinion has improved - clean, spacious and relaxed. I just wish the selection of beers was better.
Heard good things about this place, walked in to see £2 Heineken a pint on Thursdays started well only to be told that's after 8pm, though not stated on any advertisement including on the table drinks menu. Admittedly if you like Fosters or Strongbow at £1 a bottle you'll love it. As Fosters is not my drink of choice we decided to have 2 half's of Kronenburg, 1 with black, to be hit with £4.30 please. Cheap if your used to drinking in London, a couple who sat next to us shortly afterwards were having the same conversation so clearly this needs addressing. If your paying higher end prices you would expect to drink in a well furbished high end establishment, badly lacking here. If your advertising £2 a pint then it should be clearly stated after 8pm. Did not notice a drinks price menu situated anywhere, if I had known my choice was going to be over £4 a pint I would have politely left with no purchase made.
Cheap drinks is the best reason to come here. Music is not to my taste but the atmosphere is usually okay. Would still recommend as the first stop on a night out.
Absolutely appalled at the bouncers on the door this evening. Refused entry and they wouldn’t even give us a reason why. I was with my fiancé on a night out having some quite drinks, absolutely shocking. The way in which they treated us was really quite demeaning. “Try the slug and lettuce” they said - which was closed.
This place smelt like sick. I ordered a lemonade from here and it tasted of washing liquid. I will not be going here again. It's a shame really because the music was quite good.
No nice cask beers on, but a selection of lovely people selling sambucas walking round saves it from a 1 star.
