Called in on the hottest day of the year for a simple pub meal in the garden. The quality of the food was far better than the rather plain pub menu would suggest. My chicken Caesar salad was probably the best that I've had for years! Great service and great food with a total bill of less than £50 for the 4 of us. Well done!
Friendly hosts, nice atmosphere, real fire was very welcoming on a cold day, the burgers were excellent, generous portions, good quality and great value

Lovely little pub with a really nice garden. We stopped on way back from RHS Harlow Carr and arrived just in time before the kitchen closed 2pm on the jubilee Thursday bank hol and the lady who served us was so friendly and attentive. Like others have mentioned, the food was much nicer than you might expect from a quiet little pub - my husband’s chicken burger was lush and my chicken and bacon baguette was really nice too. This pub seems to be a real hidden gem for decent food and drinks in the sun.
Recommend this lovley village pub. Made welcome. We were not from area and dropped in on chance they had gf options and they did happy days. If we were from the area we would be returning : Parking: No problem parking at all : Dietary restrictions: Gluten free was very accommodating and made an excellent GF fish chips and mushy peas really generous portion and at such a good price
Played my white grand piano and DJ'd for a weddings here. Beautiful place.
This was a chance discovery. We just needed to stop for a bite on our journey. We were lucky. The food and the service were great. I had a salad which was beautifully presented and delicious. I can't get over the fact that there are so many great pubs that you can just stumble on and find great food. This is one of them.
Really good First time there and staff really attentive..Food was lovely. We sat outside and the play area was great! Spacious and well set out too. Will certainly return when can and would definitely recommend!!
