Nice place for a drink. Food is good but quite average. Don't see a big difference with other pub around. Prices are bit higher than what you would expect. Good point for the beer with Belgium beer on tape.

Excellent Christmas lunch for our group of 10 friends. Lovely service too. The food is really delicious and imaginative. Roaring log fire and Christmas decorations makes it a cozy place in the festive season.

Amazing food.  We dropped in here for Sunday lunch.  Had seen it recommended online so expected something perhaps slightly above average but it was really very tasty.  

I had duck which was cooked to perfection with lovely crispy skin and moist, flaky meat.  My friend had hake - the portion was large and it was done perfectly, it's easy to overcook white fish like that.  We'd been to Toulouse the week before - the home of foie gras and duck confit etc and the duck I had here was easily as good.  The food flavours and textures were wonderful, crispy roast potatoes etc.  Also nothing was over salted as you often find in restaurants in my experience which I hate.

 I was very tempted to have a dessert - they also looked fantastic but in the end decided against it.  Will def go back if we're in TW again sometime.  

Only complaint is that the kitchen is open so the smoke and fumes tend to fill the fairly small restaurant area and when you get out, your clothes smell like the kitchen!  However I think it's possible to sit elsewhere in the pub.  Service was generally friendly and although we waited for the food for a while, it was worth it.
