The food is really lovely here & all the team seem really friendly and helpful. The meals we had were definitely home cooked. The price point is good considering all the above too. Would definitely recommend.nAlso great vegan options - creative , rather than your standard curry or falafel.
Popped here for a lovely Sunday afternoon roast. Food and service exceptional. Sat outside in the garden. 2 starters 2 mains 2 wines 2 beers and service less than £96. Lovely
I dont often give un prompted reviews but this embarrassing representation of pub food requires that someone challenges and points out where expectations fall flat.nThis is the burger. I paid an extra £2 for bacon one small chewy strip and £1.50 for gorgonzola cheese.nnThe bun, I'm pretty sure they got from the local co-op. Originally it didn't come with anything other than the burger, bacon and cheese.nnWhen I asked if there should have been salad and gherkins etc, it was taken back and reappeared with lettuce, Tomomato and gherkins on a soggy bottom bun.nThe eight 8! chips I got with it were ok....nnCome on. Britain can do better than this.
Delicious Sunday roasts! The cheese soufflé starter is divine as was the pistachio soufflé with chocolate ice cream.
Visited today for lunch with two friends. Friendly service from arrival to end. Our waitress Sara was phenomenal and super attentive. Time after time, The Black Horse delivers consistently .nOur cheese soufflés divine, the Jerusalem artichoke risotto on point. Delicious Schnitzel with potato salad. All puddings exquisite as well. The place was literally packed to the brim, yet our service was excellent .
