Brilliant. We didn't mean to go there originally but the place we wanted to go to didn't serve food and we were so glad we ended up here. Cosy looking pub with a huge garden, we fancied the larger menu that was in the restaurant. We got seated in the bar area as the restaurant was really full, we did have to wait quite a bit to get served, all of them were really busy but so friendly and apologetic we didn't mind. But the food...my goodness it was incredible. Could not fault it at all and it was worth every penny, next time will definitely book even if it's a Monday. 10/10
The Black Bull at Brampton is a traditional village pub located in the village of Brampton. It's been around since the 16th century, and it has a great reputation for its freshly cooked meals. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and they have a vibrant beer selection to choose from. I recently visited The Black Bull in the week to meet a work colleague for lunch. We were greeted by the friendly staff and shown to our table right away. The menu had plenty of options to choose from, including delicious starters, mains and desserts. We decided to try the Chilli chicken, ploughman's plater and chocolate mousse - all of which were absolutely delicious! To top it off, we also enjoyed some delicious cold white wine while we chatted away. Overall, we had an amazing experience at The Black Bull at Brampton. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a cozy spot with good food and drinks!

The Black Bull at Brampton is a great experience for inside dining and outside groups. The back area has a different menu but an accesible bar with lots of area for kids to run around. The staff is pleasant and food reasonably priced. There is a small parking lot, otherwise street parking. There’s a nice view of a gothic style church from the outside that has some amazing architecture as a bonus don’t mind the graveyard. - Delicious food - Small parking area - Inside/Outside seating - Friendly staff - Reasonable prices
Lovely pub and fantastic staff. A group of us arrived without pre-booking for dinner and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They were helpful, friendly, welcoming and catered for all our dietary requirements. The food was amazing, not one complaint from any of us, which is rare, and it was very good value. We aren't from the local area but we will definitely be returning, although will book next time to ensure they can fit us in. Well done and thank you to all the staff!!
Sunday lunch is fantastic here. I think booking is advisable. We all opted for the beef dinner, one had chicken. Then we had sweets, a few apple crumbles with custard and one had waffles, delicious. Tasty as anything. The staff here are great, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Young staff but definitely know what they are doing. They are a credit to the pub. We always have lunch here when visiting family in brampton
Great meal and service. Within the group we had dairy and gluten allergies, both the staff serving and chefs were knowledgable and the best range of choice I've experienced were available. Will definitely return as on top of everything else amazing value for money.
The barman was really nice and friendly. The food was amazing. We only popped in for a visit as at local caravan site but we will return just so we can come back to this pub
Experienced for the first time from Black Bull a Sunday Roast. Absolutely amazing in every way everything was done to perfection. Thank you so much will definitely be back for more!
Had a pie night for U3A great time had by all Well done Blackbull serving 29 and all very happy and most booked for next date .
