Stop picking and choosing which days you accept card payments — simply allow your customers to pay the way that's most convenient for them. It's a joke that you expect customers to go out of their way so you can pay less tax. Not the first time this happened but I'm well and truly done with this place.
Have been holding back as every time I find good local fish and chips the standard drops. Tonight however I just had to share the fish and chips at the Rumbles Fish Bar Godmanchester. Consistently excellent with great service although it can be a wait if you go too early and it gets crowded. Chips are crisp with good flavour and the fish is enormous as standard crispy batter and good flavour too. There are also lots of other options including pies, burgers, nuggets and not forgetting mushy peas. Not quite finished as they also offer a large range of kebabs and they look to be of the same high standard although to date I have not tried one. Always full of regular customers that to me speaks volumes for good food love by all. One warning however standard portions are large, so if you eat like a budgie you may want to think twice or share with a friend. Keep up the good food and thank you all. Parking: Close to shops, Coop and Rumbles Fish Bar Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors with flush step.
Food is always good, service with a smile. Friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is that of a standard fish and chip takeout, not where I personally would want to sit and eat a meal.Food: 4/5
Cash only Fish - Good Chips - Good Parking - Available
Previously than yesterday couldn't fault service and food. Had haloumi wrap, chips n mushy peas. From there to home is not that far. All food was cold, seemed end batch chips! chewy n not well cooked. Mushy peas were cold and liquidity. Wrap was cold and leathery, not been warmed. Amount of salad variety was fewer, usually get alot of salad. Vegetarian options: not many
No chilli sauce and asked them 3 times even when collecting my food they said yes all added and no chilli sauce at all.I like my chilli sauce with the kebabs and a bit disappointed
Enormous portions, the batter was ridiculously crispy and the cod was perfectly flaky. The grilled halloumi was incredible. First time customer last night, now a regular customer if that's the standard of food. Just excellent.Food: 5/5
the staff is smiling and always ready to help, we like everything, very large portions, big fish, delicious kebabs and potatoes, a large selection for everyone Food: 5/5
Top quality fish and chips, worth every penny. Highly recommended. Top knotch what more can I say, beautiful .
The food is always great, but like a lot of takeaways, the strangely always seem to have constant problems with their card machines weird
