When I initially visited it was not as good as it used to be, the food was ok just not great, however still had big portions and were cheap. Stopped here for a beer in the sunshine not long after Lockdown and service great plus had a decent range of standard drinks. Revamped the menu now and to be fair they've certainly improved it massively. Pop in here now from time to time and always get decent service. Recommend using the app to order food as the bar staff are often quite busy. Plus opened an outside TV area but too cold at the moment. Fair amount of Vauxhall memorabilia.
Went for dinner last night and was not impressed. The plate I was served my food on had 3 large chips in it. Bacteria lives in cracks and chips and was given this to eat off. The server however was great and bought me out a new plate. Really should of replaced the food as well but hey I'm still alive. Prob won't go back again.
Food bearable public bar not so clean. Only one bar staff, so things were slow Soft drinks were flat. Well, it's got to be the worst hungry horse I've been to. Also, one of our party got a parking ticket and had to go back to sort it out. Which I find ridiculous. I think you need a good check on this hungry horse. 3/10 This is what I will give. Also the drinks are very expensive.
So I returned to see if the biscott mill had improved. Unfortunately, it is worse than my last visit.therefore I have had to drop the two stars to only one. I ordered the sizzling 8oz rump steak smothered in cheese mushrooms and sauce. This smelt so nice when it arrived. Unfortunately the cut of meat was really bad. Had lots of sinu through the steak and though rump is a fattier meat, not this fatty and tasted of liver! Which means bad cut of meat. So nearly ten pound for something I could not eat. Extremely disappointing. The service was acceptable and the place was quiet which made it a calm atmosphere. Myself and my children came away with stomach cramps after eating, and really did not want to stick around. See photos taken of the steak.the first picture shows all the meat of the steak that could not be eaten!! Not good value at all. Which I'm disappointed to have to report.
It is a big place with wheel chair facilities but my coffee was luke warm an grainy, and the lasagne i had had burnt bits at the bottom an sides, over microwaved but reasonably priced at less than £10 for coffee an lasagne, fish an chips not bad but over priced at £14, prefer Godfrey in harpenden
Excellent food and drink and gave me a very good 18th birthday celebration best pub in Luton
Attended in September 2022 with friends and two lazy bar attendants were more interested in spending time chating with their pals rather than serving customers. The meal was good but not great. The two Korona's for £5 was the one positive.
Terrible took my disabled father to the Biscot mill today, Tuesday 29 November, ordered my steak mix it meal and chicken skewers mix it, both came without onions and peppers, I asked the waitress where’s our missing food, was told they don’t have any, supply issues, it’s an onion it’s a pepper you can get them across the road at the vegetable store in Biscot rd, got three quarters of our meal for full price, not told of shortages when ordering, no discount, very disappointed, maybe try putting the meal on a saucer make it look a full meal. Won’t be going back. Shameful.
I tried to have lunch here last week but it was full so I couldn't get a table and two weeks before that I tried to have lunch and all the tills crashed so they couldn't serve anyone....but I will keep trying as the staff have been very welcoming and polite both times.
Always great food, staff are very helpful
