Been here loads of times, fried chicken is absolutely beautiful, and you can get a chunky portion for under a tenner. Very worth it. To be honest, everything I’ve tried here is great. There’s also an outdoors area that’s really nice in the summer. One of my favourite places in oxford.

A great place for a number of reasons, a good range of beers, excellent snacks, table tennis and local t-shirts for sale. All this and an excellent place to grab a quick beer before a trip to the ultimate picture palace! Warmly recommended :)

I want to start by saying that although I really dislike this place, everyone I was with (year 5 medical students) really like it, and I know many people in the mid-late 20s age bracket go there a lot. Personally I think it's pretty pretentious.Their beer selection is also really poor and the bar staff are not at all clued in about what they sell. The beers come in 1/3rd or 2/3rd pints. Why? I could understand if we were at a beer festival where there was a plethora of beers and ciders to try, but we aren't. I could happily never go to the Big Society ever again, but I was spoiled living in Bristol so I am probably not being fair. However, if you want great beers and less pretence, go to the Library, also on the Cowley Road, or Beerd in town, which is a Bath Ales pub. Delightful.

If you want an actual pint stay away. Ordered two pints which were given in half-a-pint size glass, unbelievable that they're allowed to do this, as they're ripping off customers left, right and centre. Disgraceful business.
