After a walk round the sandstone trail we popped in with no reservation, they managed to get us a table for 6 after only a 10 minute wait. Nice log fires, good ale selection and the food was great, we all had different meals and were all very pleased. Generous portions of home cooked food. We will be returning

Stopped over as a late Valentine's meal that we nearly had to cancel as I was in hospital only days before. Fabulous food, great staff and superb room and breakfast. Looking forward to returning and sampling from the range of ales.

Best steak and ale pie in the country! Great dark ales. Traditional skittle alley for hire. Plenty of parking, clean up facilities if you have been on a hike in the beautiful countryside. Dogs welcome in areas.

We were at the Bickerton this afternoon with a party of 41 and service and carvery was excellent. We have been here several times and they never disappoint
