Went here Monday after a funeral. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Not too busy. A few others besides our lot. Drinks were good and had a huge selection especially of gin. Beer was great as was cider. Food was lovely and came out quickly. The lite bite burgers were like regular burgers with fewer chips so if you really want something light, I'd probably say get something different as it's not that light. But very nice burger and chips. Sweet and Sour chicken was beautiful. Loads of chicken, loads of chips and loads of rice. Definitely bring your appetite! Great value for money. Had a varied and extensive menu. Would definitely come back especially for the food and recommend.
Comfortable large pub. Great choice of quality food at reasonable prices, very tasty Tex Mex dishes. Good choice of real ales. Highly recommended.
Very welcoming staff, the menu has a very wide range to choose from, as well as a vegan menu. The selection of ales is very good too. There is a huge beer garden 'round the back with large parasols.
Came for my birthday dinner and once again great service, great food, great price and covid compliant and social distancing rules in place. Booked via phone. Food was lovely again, we are Bentlands repeat offenders as its worth the trip for a meal here. Minor concern over the warmth of the belly pork in bbq sauce not being as hot as I would have liked but it didn't distract from being nice It's a 5 star place
The setting is lovely and the building is beautiful. The menu has a good selection and the portion sizes were good. We waited a little longer than we'd expect to be served but we put it down to the Christmas effect. We will go back again.
Excellent food and good value for money. Really big servings. Staff very friendly and helpful, knowledgeable to answer questions about the menu. Highly recommend this pub for a nice atmosphere, helpful staff and great food
I’ve used here for donkeys years and I love to see some of the staff that have stayed throughout! It’s generally a great sign, when they can retain good staff! We had two courses…. The portions are excellent, so make sure you leave room. I have never managed three courses here, but give it a go! The menu has a Mexican twist, try spicing up your chips, cheese, jalapeños The burgers are immense and the enchiladas mossive! If you’re after a bargain, attend before 6pm for the light bites menu, smaller price but portions are still spot on!
Top notch food served on flying saucers! If you are looking to stay in the current belt notch then the portion size here might challenge it, I'm still deflating after a massive well priced dinner... Might have been the three pints of ale but who's counting!
We had lunch. Both meals were well cooked and presented. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. A nice pint of Enville ale to wash it down.
Great food. Reasonably priced. Don't mind paying for food that's a bit more expensive but always good. Never had a bad meal there.
