Nice traditional place. Good atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Only i was surprised on the amount of food I received on my dinner order. I would rather call it as Snack only Not dinner. But tasty on my luck. Also sorbet wasn't a sorbet. It was cheese cake with icecream.
Good food, fairly priced with a good, slightly quirky atmosphere. Outside in the cobbled courtyard in summer feels "cluby". Excellent
Accomplished cooking, efficient service, nice surroundings. Very nice lunch experience, set lunch a good value.
Passed by the Bell and popped in on the off chance we could get a table. Glad we did, really nice pub and tremendous food. Great service and I'll say again, great food! Well worth a visit. Also dog friendly.
food was excellent i had the confit of pork. and bread and butter pudding it was delicious.
Outside cortyard as well as an indoor dining room and bar situated in a Seventeenth century coaching inn. Good range of ales, beers, wines and spirits and quality food is looking good value compared to some of the opposition. Full marks for a pub that has tried its utmost to return to normal after the covid 19 lockdown.
I have the greatest respect for a kitchen that accepts diners who turn up 10 minutes before they are due to finish service and produces great food well presented and served well.
