Really great food, good selection of drinks, very nice atmosphere and dog friendly.

Pleasant enough without being special.  Mind you we were there for Sunday lunch and that can be a bit "samey".   The service was rather slow though and the waitresses were dashing up and down without seeming to achieve very much.  I wonder if they were new to the job, they looked very young!  Our party was of two wrinklies and one very wrinkly.  Total bill was £61 for drinks, coffee three mains and two puds.

Called in for lunch while driving past yesterday, Ordered from the bar menu - open steak sandwich and a mozzarella and tomato sandwich. Both were served with a side salad and a large portion of the best chips I have had for a long time. Staff were friendly and attentive. All in all a perfect pub lunch.
