Probably the best Indian food in the north west. My favourite restaurant and take away by far. The variety of dishes is amazing. The quality of each item is excellent. The prices are very good value too. You get generous portions of good quality meat in the dishes. I have been going here for years and will continue. I can't beat it and have tried many other Indian restaurants top. Staff are great also, my complicated order is always correct, served fresh and hot. Parking: There aew a few parking bays in the front driveway space of the restaurant, but they are regularly full. Streets are double yellow lines for quite a distance.
Had an early dinner here before visiting the cinema. We hadn’t visited here for a very long time. The menu is quite large with plenty of house specials. We chose mixed starter and prawn on puree to start, both really tasty and for mains I had chicken tikka pasanda and my daughter lamb Bhuna with vegetable rice and plain naan. The poppadoms were on the house, a nice touch. Both our meals were exceptionally good, we both agreed the best Indian we had had for a while and we both use takeaways local to each of us regularly. I tried some of the lamb, not being a great lamb lover and it was tasty and tender. We couldn’t quite finish everything. Service was good, decor a little jaded but the food was excellent. Prices very reasonable too. We both said we would be back soon.
Luckily I wasn't going to have an alcoholic drink with meal, they don't serve or allow you to bring drinks. Food ok although service poor. They hardly had any customers dining in on a Friday night although their takeaway service was very busy. Vegetarian options: Good selection although a bit too sweet, I think they added sugar to curry. Dips for poppadoms were good and slightly different than the usual.
I've been going to the Belash for over 15years on 'special' occasions, excellent everytime whether sotting in or takeaways. I've got some of my veg biriani Left over for todays dinner. Yummy
Absolutely fantastic place, food was delicious and staff were great, we'll be going back there.
The Belash was our regular around 30 years ago. I think that neither the decor nor the reliably good, standard, British Indian curry have changed in all that time, even the carpet. You know exactly what you're getting and not having to worry about anything trying to be something it isn't is just so, so refreshing for us. Genuinely friendly and overly polite to may you feel well served. Subjectively, I hope it stays exactly the way it is long after I'm gone. Thank you Belash for your consistent reliability.
