Story

Lings on Kings is the first Beijing style restaurant in the north west of England and has a fantastic reputation for serving the very best authentic Chinese dishes.

Winner of ' Best Restaurant' in Southport Food & Drink Festival 2010

The restaurant looks just as exceptional as the food it serves. Completely modernised and tastefully decorated, Lings on Kings has seating for over 70 people, divided between two floors, and boasts two fully licenced bars. As well a friendly welcoming atmosphere.

The owner of Lings on Kings, Ling Lam, is certainly the 'hostess with the mostess'. Not only does she have 29 years experience as a restaurateur, but she is also a singing sensation, often performing for her customers during their meal.

Fabulous food. In fact one of the best Chinese restaurants I've personally visited. I can honestly say there spring rolls are the best I've ever tried. I usually find them a little greasy and unappetising, but these were full of veg, crispy and dry. The sauce selections were also excellent. The main courses of which we all tried something different in are group were incredible portions and equally delicious. Manager was lovely to.

How does this place get so many great reviews ? Me and my partner ordered hot and sour soup, more like gravy soup. Sweet and sour chicken was dark brown. Chilli beef , weird taste and lots of carrots in it. Half an hour later me and my partner where both nearly sick. Went to bed with bad upset stomachs. What a waste of £25.... not a good Chinese. Never again....👎👎👎

Food is ok. Service is awful. Their card machine wasn't working, and they enjoyed making a scene out of this fact, telling me the card I had used less than an hour earlier was declined. I walked to a cash point, used the same card there and walked back to pay in cash. No hint of an apology, just a carefree joke from the owner about it happening to her all the time. Waiter useless and rude. Not recommended and will never go back.

We had our daughters 21st birthday meal here,ling went out of her way to make it so special for her I really appreciated that, the food was wonderful and the ambience brilliant 👌

My partner and my sister were after somewhere special to take me for birthday celebration, I suggested Lings on Kings as in past always been excellent meals and service and this time was no different with food and service exceptional and top marks to the owner she does a great job as she been running the place for 40 year. Not to forget the admosphere was amazing saturday night everyone enjoed and had a memorable time in there. All the best for Ling and her lovely staffxxx. Highly recomended defenitley the best chinese in Southport👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
