Got the seaside platter was a little disappointed if I'm honest expected more but tasty enough, decor could do with an update,would go back, went back and went through to main dining area. Much nicer had a couple of the specials Asian chicken strips and honey chicken bites,very tasty.Food: 4/5
Came here for a break away staying at Haven Golden Sands, not much in Mablethorpe for food but this place more then makes up for it. The food was lovely and portion size is wow!, the price was very reasonable, convenient location and on site parking. Staff where friendly and helpful, very easy to order and lovely clean and spacious pub. Place is a must
Pizzas ours were vegan, yes with vegan cheese too are unbelievable. Staff are so pleasant and friendly, definitely recommended. Very nice draught beers, ciders and lagers too.
The food was delicious it was just a shame about the service. It want particularly busy but they bought out our food and we had one order that was wrong. The waiter just said I’ll be back in a minute with no apology- I told everyone else to start- but my food wasn’t bought out until everyone else had finished eating. The lady that bought my food out did apologise and cleared everyone else’s dishes. Because you pay in advance we felt we wouldn’t even ask for money off the bill. Was just disappointing. The other gripe we had was the food being served on such small boards. Any crumbs went on the table or your lap, what happened to a proper plate.
We haven't been for a few years, but have been coming to the Beck since about 2005, as our Caravan was in Mablethorpe. IMO It's one of the best places in town for a nice meal out, including their popular carvery. The Beck has plenty of parking be aware they charge for their parking for non restaurant users and it's a nice looking place just along about 300yds from Jackson's Arcade in Quebec road at the seafront end of the town. It has a mixture of regular seating, and seating booths along the front side, which we always sit in. We'd booked for our recent visit first time since COVID started which is always advisable, and had a Burger, 2 Pizzas + sides of Garlic Bread, Onion Rings, Chips & drinks. We were all feeling hungry, and excited to be back eating in one of our favourite places in Mablethorpe. Ordering was as at the bar, and very straightforward, and were told with the 2 Pizzas we'd ordered, you got a 3rd free! We couldn't eat it, so they kindly gave us pizza box so we could take it home. Our food arrived within about 15-20 minutes, served by a lovely, friendly lady, and was nicely presented on wooden slabs, OK for pizza, but would've preferred plates for the burger. The food was lovely, with decent tasting pizza, and well cooked. A minor criticism, was the burger came with only a handful of chips in a basket, which was cool, but rather stingy compared to the sides of chips. Our experience on this visit wasn't the best due to a group of rowdy student types, who were constantly swearing, but luckily they were only in for a quick carvery feed up, and soon left. It hasn't changed a lot over the years, although the styling has been modernised, but the staff are still great, and so is the food, and that's what really matters. Overall, good value for those looking for a decent 'pub grub' experience.
Visited with dogs from the Haven holiday park and had to sit outside, which is understandable but I can see that being impossible in the colder months. Food was great though be warned - the spicy pizza doesn't hold anything back! The retro toys that have been in the top of the capsule machines for 20+ years were also very nostalgic. If only they were for sale... Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian and vegan options on the standard and pizza menus but nothing too elaborate.
Have my first carvery in over a year thanks to covid. Rules better relaxed now but still maintain Good hygiene standards. Food was excellent, pub was busy. Outdoor seating area for food. Lovely staff. Toilets were more than adequate too.
Can not believe how brilliant and pleasant the staff are. They made myself and my 3 young children feel very welcome, engaging in conversation with them as well as brilliant service. First time in a long time I've felt at ease taking the children out to eat and not judged. Food was also excellent and fairly priced! Definitely recommended! Thank you so much!
Great pub, Reasonable Prices. The best part of the pub is the Staff. I was talking to my friends about how friendly and helpful the person who served me was and we all agreed that the person behind the bar was human personable and easy to deal with and then we described them, turns out we were talking about three different people. Well Done Beck you staff are Amazing.
Had the best pizza ever there,service was good too. Had a lovely alabama fudge cake which was fabulous
