Service has deteriorated, what used to be a reliable delivery service with good quality food has become one that turns up 45 minutes late, no apology and no explanation, with food most of which tasted likes it was cooked a week ago.. The kebab meat was good, the chicken, chips and the pita bread were almost uneatable... NOT THE PLACE THEY USED TO BE.... Will never use again
Ordered a variety of food 1 item and drinks where forgotten but the staff couldn't have been more better if they tried came with everything very polite and accommodating and food was hot and tasty
OK, I'll admit, this isn't the best looking takeaway in Mablethorpe ...or the worst! It's tired, drab exterior isn't exactly enticing is it? However, what really matters are things like cleanliness, service & whether the food is any good, and fortunately, it 'mostly' is. First off, it has a 5 rating from the FSA, so that's a good start. It's menu has plenty of choice, so as well as all the various pizza options, they sell kebabs, burgers, SFC & wraps, and they have a few meal deal options. Service so far has been fine, as there's always plenty of staff, and no problems with our orders. There's not a lot of space inside, and it does get busy, so you'll probably want to make use of the bench seats outside whilst waiting for your order. So, what's the food like? Well, over the years we've been coming here, whenever we stay at our caravan, we've probably tried a fair bit of the menu, so this isn't based on just a one off visit. Good: Pizzas & Kebabs - these are our favourites, and they're always well cooked & tasty. Unlike some other takeaways around who only sell doner kebabs, worth pointing out, that this place also has shish & kofte. Only criticism, is they could do with adding more salad, bit stingy, and where's the red cabbage & chillies? Not Bad: Burgers & Chips - they seem to be better when they're busy, and cooking a fresh batch. Sometimes, we've had them, and they've obviously been refried, so all greasy & horrible, and have ended up in the bin! Best advice, just take a peer over the counter to see what they look like. Burgers are usually OK, nothing special, but tastier than the standard £2 offerings from the little burger/hotdog outlets in town. Haven't tried anything other regular beef burger, so can't comment on the rest, like Veggie etc Could be better: Southern Fried Chicken - in our experience, not much consistency with their SFC. It seems to vary from greasy, to really nice, but chicken quality isn't the best. They offer local delivery, but since we always order from within and takeaway, can't comment on telephone ordering or deliveries. Overall, one of our favourite places in town for the when we fancy a burger, pizza or kebab.
I've used pizza King a couple of times for kebabs. On both occasions the food was very nice and delivery was quick.
Ordered 3 pepperoni and a mushroom pizza. Couldn’t see one slice of pepperoni at all in any of the pizzas. If I was blindfolded and tasted them would have said tomato pizzas, worst ones we’ve ever had
Really nice food pizza was delicious. Kerbab was lovely Really good prices and I would recommend it I ordered it it said 45 mins top but I got it under the time limit wich is really good
Had a kebab last night it was awful salad put to bottom of box so was really warm and limp. Pitta bread was so dry and they drowned the meat with chilli sauce. Was a complete waste of money
Chips were not freshly cooked. Kebab had no flavour. Would not use again.
Im only in the area for a week due to work. Searched for nearest takeaway and decided to go with pizza King. Best kebab wrap I've ever had!! Will definitely be going again. Highly recommend.
Ordered a pizza and 2 kebabs with chips and onion rings for delivery to our holiday caravan. Fast service, excellent communication i picked it up at the site gate , delivery driver was polite and friendly very impressed the food was outstanding. 10/10 for the food , kids and wife loved it and the kebab was honestly amazing. .
