Pretty dismal experience. Went as a group of 3 for a catch up lunch. Had the lunch deal for £6.50 and portion sizes were very small. Could barely spot the pork in the pulled pork bun, other meals were also pretty bad. Have given 2 stars as wasn't inedible and the pub is spacious... but will not be going OK. I'd be embarrassed to take friends there again. .
Very impressed. Visited twice in the early evening for a quick meal with friends, and the pub was quiet I think it's different at the weekend and service was fast. Menu was cheap and the plates very generous and tasty. Even the small starters tapas were very good and bigger portion than you get elsewhere. Everything tasted very fresh and with lots of flavour. Throughly enjoyed it on both occasions. Staff is attentive without being overbearing. Definitely the thumbs up. Will visit more often
Went here after Army vs Navy rugby, ordered 2 portions of chicken wings a portion claimed to have 30 wings- however we weren't sure how true this was! However, when 2 HUGE bowls turned up containing more than 60 wings we were very happy!!! Tasted absolutely delicious, drinks not too over priced, however some bar staff slightly rude.
Good cocktails, friendly staff, some excellent deals on food. Large and spacious. Often quite empty or alternatively very busy depending on the day of the week. The sort of place you go with a crowd or with work mates.
Good selection of beers, wines and spirits. TV showing music vids but usually sports when major games on. Told we had to have plastic cups after 7pm because of policy, as did some other local pubs. We usually drink in the town on a Friday night and have never been given plastics. Left and went elsewhere.
Ordered a sharer plate of nachos for 8.50, it was fine quality wise but there was barely enough food on the plate to feed a small child...... I was so surprised I went to he bar thinking it was a mistake. Apparently not. Don't eat here, well not if you want to be satisfied anyway.
An awesome pub with an awesome ambience, was a little disappointed they closed down on the food orders rather super early. Would have loved to taste their food. Giving them 3 stars just because they aren't open late in the evening for food on the weekdays
One of my favorite bars in Twickenham, they have the mixed chairs and sofa vibe, it gets busy without being outrageous . the beer is decently priced for London. The only thing it doesn't have are the river views.. other wise it woyld be full a lot. While i have never been on a Rugby Day, i have never found it over busy.
Normally love this place but on the 17th Feb was very different , I went to the place having had 2 drinks before and was marked straight away by the bouncers for some reason. I went in with a few of my friends male and female not that it makes a difference but thought i’d Set the scene, as soon as I got in a friend said that the bouncers we’re looking at me I had no problem with that as I hadn’t done anything wrong. I had a dance an hour later and that was it I was banned from drinking even the bar lady didn’t really understand why, I stuck to the rules of only drinking water as my friends we’re in there and didn’t want everyone to get to leave because of me, an hour later I thought it would all be Over so had a sip of a pint and got kicked out. So from this story if your bad at dancing do not dance as you will be thrown out.
Showed up with a large group of friends for my hen do we were all clearly over 21but got refused entry as some didn't have ID despite the pub being empty! Do we went to the cabbage patch no issues getting in there so if you want a good night go to the Cabbage Patch not here!!!
