What an absolutely stunning pub. Youngs pubs are usually very good, but this is a cut above the rest. An amazing selection of beers and a couple of very well kept ales, all served by lovely and enthusiastic staff. The food is excellent - everything we had was brilliant but may I just highlight the fries specifically are out of this world. I'm not sure how they do it but they are basically triple cooked fries. The crispiness is unreal. They are excellent with young families too - really welcoming and accommodating.
We travelled long and far to come here and it did not disappoint. Sahin was very hospitable, welcoming and Sasha was amazing and she looked after us the whole time. The food was equally lovely and flavoursome. A top notch Sunday roast
Beautiful, bright, airy pub/restaurant. Lots of seating inside and outside. Wheelchair access. Great selection of food and drinks. Sunday roast was particularly yummy! Staff were great, very attentive. The only one criticism would be that the food could have been a little hotter. All in all we had a wonderful 1st time experience.
Loooooved this place! The dogs and I went here twice and the staff is lovely! I got the fish and chip and the hummus, 2 great plates! The chardonnay is perfect too: very buttery. The staff gave the dog water and sometimes treats. I love it here! I went to other The Bear but this one is my favorite :
Really nice pub, plenty of space and dry very child friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
So the pub is nice although if you want to sit in the garden you will spend 5 minutes sorting the WiFi and then 5 minutes sorting their app before ordering. We weren't that hungry so went for a bowl of cheesy chips to share. The receipt is folded smaller than a credit card for scale. £4.50 for 17 chips. So thats about 27p a chip .. Pointed out small portion they weren't happy so replaced with a larger one. Added star. But will have to have main meal and see sizes before upping further.
This was an excellent choice. The best table service I have experienced in a long time from the young lady on Friday evening, excellent food and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Faith restored in gastro pubs and their quality and value for money.
Had the sea trout and ended up getting food poisoning 4 hours later. It was quiet when we arrived at 2.30pm today, not sure whether the fish was cooked properly or if its a hygiene issue. If someone from the resturant can message me back I am happy to deal with this over email.
We went for a family gathering. We were 9 adults and a beautiful 8month old girl. The staff were really good. The food was great and the atmosphere in the pub is lovely. Definitely a great place to go
Went for a family meal. Great service and food! Lovely waiter who was attentive and food came out timely and tasted fab. Also had one of the best espresso martinis there!
