Found the prices difficult to fathom on the website and didn't realise it was a booking online not a payment and had to pay full price on arrival plus extra for my partner which I hadn't anticipated. The room was nice and comfortable though but the heating wouldn't turn off overnight which made it very hot.

We stayed over the August bank holiday it is a lovely place to stay, it is what it says on the tin no complaints from us, clean and friendly nice to wake up and have drink on the deck, host were lovely couldn't do more, I would definitely stay again

Friendly and clean. Great view of the sea. Would definately visit again. Parked just outside. Pleasant beech walk to centre.

By far the cleanest accommodation I have ever visited! Woke up to the gorgeous fresh smell of washing powder on my pillow, divine. Very comfy bed! Location wise this place is perfect. You're on the sea front, 10 mins walk away from adventure island. There's a free car park behind the hotel, get there early and leave the car, you'll lose your place otherwise. Offy store a stone throw away, perfect. One thing that lets the place down is not being able to have breakfast in the morning. Owners were all pottering around in the kitchen so a continental and some eggs looked as though it would have been doable. If you're paying £90 for one night's stay, you kind of expect a breakfast, you know? We waited till 11am, checked out and resorted to walking a few minutes along the sea front to the Toby carvery in the morning. I reccomend the balcony room during the summer, stunning views overlooking the sea. I will always book this guest house when I visit southend now.
