I like this place We had dinner here after a lovely walk up Cannock Chase They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating The prices are reasonable The seating comfortable I had my dog with me with ease & water bowl available Plesant lighting outside Would eat here again
Steak had to be returned as it was cold. I had to wait for a long time for a replacement when it arrived it was under cooked. They offered to cook it again but I declined as by then I had lost my appetite.
I Booked a boxing day Christmas dinner as the food is normally very good. Selection of veg very good and the turkey was excellent. However roast potatoes were very hard and difficult to cut, parsnips were as hard as crisps, sprouts and sprouting broccoli virtually raw, carrots shrivelled and mash starting to harden on outside as if it had been warmed up for too long in an oven or microwave. Disappointing to say the least. After the meal i ordered a small black Americano and a small one with an extra shot and a side of hot milk, as I like my coffee strong,.The waitress brought a small one and said she had brought me a larger one as I had an extra shot in it. The milk was also cold not warm as requested. Unbelievable, I wanted the extra shot to give me a stronger drink not a larger amount. On being presented with the bill I asked if my deposit had been deducted, to which she replied I think so. I checked and it had not been deducted. I had booked this as a surprise for my wife as we had spent Christmas day on our own and did not think it worth buying a turkey just for the 2 of us. To say I felt let down and embarrassed is an understatement. I did make the waitress aware of the problem when she cleared the table and suggested she told the kitchen staff, she just sorry.. On thinking about everything later, I wish I had taken a picture to show that anyone in there right mind would not put some of the items on the plate as they were visibly overcooked. Will not be returning
The staff are really helpful and the food is pretty good on the whole. I had the mushroom and Stilton pie which was really lovely and far better than I expected. My partner had the beef and it looked terrible and was very chewy. It was late on a Sunday evening so I suppose it had been cooked for a while. I would go again though.
Went for breakfast/brunch this morning received great service and food. I had a vegan breakfast, it was absolutely delicious. I loved the fresh roasted vine tomatoes and guacamole. We will be back soon! Thank you
We have been for evening meals before and plenty of times for drinks and have always enjoyed it here. However, we went today for the first time for breakfast, and it was outstanding. Service was fantastic, and the food - plenty of it and tasted great. Thank you!
Nice food competitively priced, friendly staff. Make sure you enter your car registration on your way in to save being fined! People have been parking to go for walks on Milford common and not going for food. Takes up car park space that diners could use.
Had a pleasant drink with friends. We didn't eat there. The only thing I don't like is the tables, although they have been wiped have that horrible sticky feel. Nice place, nice location.
Visited for Sunday lunch..Most of my party ordered the beef roasts and cauliflower cheese side. Unfortunately all of the vegetables were cold and hard and so was the cauliflower cheese. The meat was sparce and cold too. We did complain and all of the roasts we taken off the bill which was fine, but we would rather have had a better meal and somewhat spoilt our day.. For this reason we won't visit again.
Just had an excellent lunch here. My vegan skewers were really tasty and my husband really enjoyed the Hunter's chicken. Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. Couldn't fault it and would definitely recommend.
