Haven't been here for a while thought would go back as never had a bad meal, it use to be a 2-4-1 no longer anymore, however the meals are fairly priced and worth the penny from kids menu to adult menu. Good service from staff even though it was busy and was very helpful when my son accidentally tipped his water over. The park still the same which the kids enjoyed. Toilets was fairly clean, could do with updating and another hand dryer as only one in ladies why 4 stars. The decor is very rustic which is nice. Would be going again, never seem to disappoint.
4 adults and 2 children out for a family birthday. The children 14 / 9 are good eaters and so ordered from the main menu which is 2-4-1. I had the sirloin steak, pictured, and it was delicious. Medium rare, as recommended, and it melted in the mouth. Chips and onion rings were also very nice, peas could have been fresher, but I did really enjoy the meal. Would highly recommend this place.
Traditional and delicious! The Sunday roast is sure to fill your belly with joy. Chetwynd Arms makes you feel like family, including your crazy uncle. ;
Very clean, bright and welcoming pub. The staff were all polite and very friendly. Food was also good but I wouldn't have the fries again as they go cold very quickly. We liked it so much we are going back for Sunday lunch today. We are on holiday for the week.
Update: Visited again, still 5 Stars, great hot meals and first class service. Good table service, very children and dog friendly. Warm welcome, although busy Saturday evening, booking recommended for busy times.
What a contrast to the other Marston pub we had to complain about, this is how it should be! A lovely looking exterior, a cozy friendly interior and a warm welcome as we walked in. Quick, polite service to get our food and drinks order and all the food was tasty and prompt. Such a great experience and we will certainly be returning again.
The staff were friendly and efficient, we arrived early but that was not a problem we were seated immediately. The food was fine, the surroundings festive. The facilities were modern and clean. We stayed in the car park overnight in our motorhome which was most useful for arrangements we had the following day. All round excellent.
Great Marston's Pub that's been recently refurbished with a good atmosphere offering super value. Excellent Manager and lovely friendly staff always providing a warm greeting and efficient service. Took the family for an enjoyable Sunday lunch and also recently called on a Thursday for the 'steak and a drink' all-day special. Delicious food from an extensive menu. Lots of drinks to choose from too including very well-kept beer. Looking forward to going back again soon.
Wonderful service by both the lady that welcomed us and our server. Coming in with two dogs, you can occasionally sense when pubs reluctantly allow dogs but we and both our dogs felt super welcome! Food was reasonable for what it was, enjoyed it. Thanks so much!
Came here for my birthday meal with my husband. Always drove past but never been in before. Brilliant friendly service. Lovely food. Can put hot and within a decent time frame. Not too quick or too slow. Husband was impressed with his battered fish. Food is adequately priced for what you get. Lovely friendly staff. Will definitely be visiting again.
