Honestly not the best at all, I didn’t expect much more than quick pub grub but wow, they are the slowest kitchen staff ever. It wasn’t even that full and it took over an hour for them to make a basic meal! I really hope they are not payed by the meal because this place will be going bump very soon. Only two positives to pull, the bar staff was incredibly friendly and the price point is cheap as expected.
EDIT:very disappointed Not happy with bar staff that seemed more like they didn't want to take my order, kitchen and waiting staff made up for it friendly and nice/happy to talk to me. starter was nice but the corn was diffecult to eat. Steak not cooked how I wanted asked for blue, why ask if you cook all the same, so much gristle couldn't eat. Onion ring not real onion shredded onion more like thing/rings Banoffee pie toffee sauce cold when said warm not happy at all. Don't order. Missing items onion ring and can't order the coca on meal deals without paying 2.59 even tho there pic is with the coca. no interest when I ring and say it's just eat I need to talk to even though the food comes from through them.
Good, main road position. Good car park. Generally clean and tidy inside. Service lacked any warmth except for one male member of staff who cleared our table and was pleasant. The food was OK but could have been much better : I know it's only pub grub but I expected better. The quality did NOT reach complaint level, just disappointing. It was a cold night and we were cool whilst we dined.
I travelled from the West Midlands so it was a long drive and my tummy needed food. After looking at the menu I settled on a chicken platter to dine in which went down nicely with a chilled bottle of cider. Yes I would recommend it to fellow travelers.Parking spacePlenty of parkingParking optionsFree parking lot
By a long shot the worst customer service ive ever had. Simply to busy dealing with serving locals beers to be bothered to deal with customers who want food. We stood at the bar to order food for over 20min. In the end we just give up and walk out. We sat in the van outside and rang up to speak to a manager who told us they only had two staff working. Absolutely ridiculous for such a big pub. Shame as the actual pub looked quite nice inside. And the food we did see come out looked OK for a budget pud. Menu seemed very budget friendly. Just shame its such a nightmare to access any food at this pub. Plenty of parking. Disabled bays are some distance from main entrance. Pub is on one level We won't visit this one again anytime soon. As I say this is more a pub for drinkers than actual eating
Had lovely meals in the past. This time the food was poor and so much was unavailable. No fish and chips. I and friend ordered chicken fajitas. There was only one left and the side portions were microscopic. My wife ordered salad and sweet potato fries - initially said they had run out of these. Man on next table ordered gammon and pineapple - but there was no pineapple left. In desperation I ordered a Cadbury's sundae to be told that they had run out of chocolate buttons! It was so bad we were all laughing! our two servers - Cameron and Harvey saved the day with their understanding and eventually with some solutions that were OK but did not make up for things. I commend them. Problem is that we have no confidence in returning for our next meal. Unless food stocks are better and portion sizes as they should be. Please help.
Nice meal, Hunters chicken, chips and peas, friendly staff
I booked a table for 6 people plus a high chair and asked for a larger table. When we arrived we were told to find a table which I replied I couldn’t see one big enough, for the woman behind the bar to huff and say ‘ I will have to sort you one then’ then she came back saying there was one which was a small set of 3 tables together surrounded by 2 tables of just children and 2 pushchairs blocking the table. I asked the customers to move the pushchairs and I was told their was no where for them to go so no. So we couldn’t even get to the table. The woman behind the bar didn’t care, the guy working there was more interested in a just eat order. What’s the point of booking a table if they aren’t going to reserve you one. Overall, disgusting service and rude staff. Don’t waste your time.
Just had a meal here, very quick delivery, all hot and delicious. Well worth the money.. setting was very nice and staff were very friendly, welcoming n helpful, would highly recommend
Food was superb!. I had a 14oz Gammon, my mate had a curry which he said was really good too. Atmosphere was spoilt by a loud noisy regular who loved the sound of his own voice.Food: 5/5
